In any other league a guy like Sherman would be fined for shooting his mouth off like that and impugning the character of the Commish and an owner. But since Bountygate the inmates are in charge of the asylum. He's afraid of getting sued.

To me this whole thing is ridiculous. The balls from the Colts sidelines were properly inflated. The Patriots' were deflated. Someone did something and it would be easier if there were some admissions

Did we ever hear anything about the backup balls? I think that's a larger question than the Colts balls. Considering the Pats had to provide the 12 backup balls you would assume they put them through the same trials they put their regular balls through because if the backup balls had to be used by Brady then they'd want balls he would be familiar with, even if Luck had to use them it wouldn't be what he's use to so it's not handing him an advantage (unless they were cheating in general and didn't want the Colts to find out...so if they weren't prepared the same way that calls into question their motivations).

So I would think that if the backup balls were prepared the same way as the regular balls and were also exposed to the same elements that they should have at least a similar percentage of dropped PSI. If all 12 balls maintained the regular PSI level it's game over, unequivocally that someone tampered with the balls after the refs tested them. If they are dropped it is still technically possible that they manipulated those balls after they were checked as well but that seems less likely.

    @MikeReiss
Tom Brady tells ESPN's Chris Berman, at halftime of Pro Bowl broadcast, that he's yet to be contacted by NFL on football investigation.

    ----------

That's one hell of an "investigation" you've got going on there, Roger. What a clown show.

Agreed. Unless they found what they need (some sort of smoking gun) and they're just making sure they have all their ducks in a row before they go in to speak with him.

Side point! About a month ago you started a thread in the Jets board about what penalty the Jets would pay for their owner tampering not only before an investigation was over but also before any charges were filed, and now you and your buddies are spending hours upon days defending your team for cheating. I thought you guys knew what karma was?

Almost sounds like they know Brady did something and are going to wait until after their cash cow express (super bowl) before they deal with Brady. I'm actually enjoying his arrogance

I don't think there will be any conclusion to this investigation until after the money who're weekend is over but hey maybe they'll surprise all of us.

    Thanks Charlie.

Look forward to seeing this play out. I give you credit for having the balls to take the bet. Good on you, none of your colleagues seem as convinced.

What bet? That Roger will do the right thing and punish the Pats for cheating? No, not taking that bet.
That Roger says, nothing to see here, let's move on? That bet I would take.

I never wager with people who have a high tolerance for cheating. Just not my thing.

Almost sounds like they have absolutely no reason to talk to him, so lolz to your comment.

What do they need to talk to him for anyway? "You know Tom, did you in fact sneak into the equipment managers room two hours before the most important game of the season, without the refs noticing you tampering with the footballs?"

Yeah, sounds reasonable. You people are insane. I guess that's what happens when you root for the Jets.

Imagine an (dumb azz) pat fan wanting to bet every Jet fan in this thread. If it was the Jets that did this I would hide and not post on the subject.

1 psi yes 2 lbs of psi the temp would need to drop 60 degrees so the out side temp for the game would need to be in the teens. The science is the science meaning you can not bend the laws of nature.

Look Earlier In The Thread And You Will See The Gas Law And The Temps. That's why everyone who knows the science says he is full of crap

Hell the refs miss how many calls a game? When there looking right at them? Plus if this weather change in the degrees did it to the balls? How come it wasn't all 12 balls?

What is disturbing is that a lot Pats fans think this is over jealousy and has nothing to do with honesty or integrity.

none of it has to do w/ the basketball program. Just one rogue, disgruntled ex player whose accusations have been proven false. for the women's team and football team it's a different story but the men's basketball team did everything the right way as always.
