There's a pretty good chance that this was one of the conditions he agreed to when he was allowed to come back early from his previous year long suspension
Tested positive for alcohol and now out for a year? If someone could provide the true explanation for that one I'd love to hear it. And come on now, enough with the punishments for pot. It's ridiculous. Absolutely come down on players for serious crimes like domestic violence, but who cares if these guys want to smoke a little weed?
The dude has serious substance abuse problems. He has an agreement not to do drugs or alcohol and he broke it. Simple.
If there was 10 or even 2 players in the hot water that Gordon is in I would probably agree with you because I love the leaf, but this guy has no self control and it's been going on since before he got to the NFL.
Well that is true. Especially when one is on the brink of being one of the best players in the game and potentially has many, many millions coming his way just as long as he can stop smoking and drinking, it is disappointing he is unable to give it up and get help for himself. The guy obviously does have problems
I would have to agree. Gordon is an addict not an idiot, though I understand some would argue the two are the same.
I wonder if the temperature plays a part in this? Does warm beer have the same alcohol content as cold beer?
Never pick up another team's trash for them unless you don't mind it sitting in your locker room stinking the joint up.
But these guys are role models. They're supposed to be squeaky clean and never under any circumstances do a public appearance after 50 so people can see what football does to your brain. If I was the NFL right now I'd be encouraging rampant pot smoking and alcohol abuse so that stuttering staggering 50 year olds could be explained by something other than repeated blows to the head by large players.
Mr. Gordon doesn't know how alcohol ended up in his body. Unless NFL has direct video evidence of Mr. Gordon drinking. We have to insist on full investigation.
