11-5 in 2008 w/o Brady against one of the weakest scheds in the history of the league(Miami went from 1 win to 11), 5 more losses from a year ago. If NE loses 5 more games next year than they won this year they will have 7 wins. Tom Brady made the NE Patriots and made Bill Belichick as a HC.
Well... I think we will see the day when this experiment plays out. They seem to be really really high on Jimmy Garrapolo.
i would agree that Brady was along for the ride, especially in his early days. if he were drafted into any other organization, i think he'd be irrelevant. He is Belichick's frankenstein, and a real good one at that. they needed each other, but Belichick makes the Patriots tick.
Mark Brunell on WEEI: 1) There is a big competitive advantage using deflated balls 2) 1 or 2 PSI isn't a big deal. This guy can't get his story straight.
Let keep it real he wasnt a good HC until Brady took over. It is what it is. BB had some bad D over the year as Pats HC but Brady bailed him out. If I remember right the last SB they played in there D was ranked 28th?
good luck w/ that. they were really high on Cassell and the guy they sent to Houston too. I think BB is smart enough to leave when Brady does. that would be completely false.
Have you seen what BB has done in his HC career w/o Tom Brady? 6 years in Cle w/ 1 playoff app and a wc win at win. In NE he was 5-11 in 2000 and started 0-2 in 2001 before Brady became starter and BB magically became a genius. BB wouldn't be a HC today if not for Tom Brady.
I may agree with that BUT BB had a losing record before Brady. I think BB gets to much credit for Brady after all he is a D guy.
They won the superbowls with an average offense and great defense. They lost 2 superbowls with record setting offenses and porous defenses. I was a tight end as a youngster... but I think people don't pay nearly as much attention to defense when it comes to the nfl. It's harder to report on a team and X's and O's than it is a pretty boy QB with supermodel wife. I chalk that up to the fact that 99.5% of football fans out there have no idea what the hell they're watching.
So did Joe Namath. Lol. I'm sorry I'm not like most Jets fans I think Namath was and is overrated as a player. I don't think he should be in HOF. Imo
You said you had the worst QB's in the league. Trent Dilfer threw more interceptions than TD's in his career and won a SB. Sanchez was/is a game manager, nothing more, nothing less. You still didn't win a championship with the leagues best defense. 0 since 2007.
