Should we make him an offer to stay or let the door hit him on the way out??

If he wants 10 mil per you let him walk. Plus you get a compensatory pick for him. But Mac might be afraid to underspend his cap money. Harris has had his better days.

I'd like to see him back at a reasonable price on a 2-3 deal, but if not, there will be some very good ILBs at the top of the 2nd like Denzel Perryman, Benardick McKinney or Paul Dawson. Wouldn't be the end of the world if he left.

What kind of pick do they stand to get if he walks?

Had a good run for us but his time has passed. Too slow. Thanks for the memories, Harris, but you're history.

Let him go. He's slow and old. Not sure he can even play all three downs anymore and we're not in win now mode anyway.

Harris was a Mangini-Tanny 2nd round pick in 2007. Not sure if they have a relationship but I wonder if the Niners would be an interested party and if they could use Harris.

Right, because I'm sure top teams in the NFL are lacking in older, slower players.

He's coming off of a good year and with his number of tackles has good value. Bowles after watching his tape will have a strong opinion on him. And both him and Mac know they have to win now. They will probably try to re-sign him.

If he wants to leave, can we tag and trade this guy?

The salary if we tag him is 11.55 mill a year which is far higher than his value. Therefore nobody would be willing to trade assets and pick up that salary

David Harris is not a playmaker...Just a good tackler.

I once had hope he could make huge impact plays to shift games, but he's just good at tackling

He'll be "contending" in Buffalo by April. Book it.
