anyone else think the NFL PR machine has worked with the NE PR dept to craft today's answers? 'if you answer the questions in this way, we will continue the 'investigation', and nothing will happen prior to the Super Bowl.' The Super Bowl is the NFL's golden goose, and they don't want anything interfering with the gold.
Looks like nothing will likely happen to New England. God I'm gonna be so fuckin pissed: Adam Schefter is reporting on TV that the NFL is struggling to find any evidence against the Patriots and that if they can't find any, they will likely do nothing to them.
They need incriminating evidence to point the Patriots as the reason they were deflated. Without that evidence, it could have been a number of factors, none of which distinctly point out New England as the cause.
are you really shocked by this? Unless Brady says something as to admission around 3pm today, nothing will happen. And the most they will ever lose would be a draft pick, and even that won't hurt them since Bellicheat can't draft to save his life.
Yes I am. While it probably shouldn't be shocking, it is. The entire nation is looking at this. This has hit Good Morning America and huge news outlets. This is HUGE right now and all that is being talked about. Head Coaches, GMs, Owners, all over the NFL are reported to be pissed and fed up with New England and their cheating antics. This is shocking if the NFL does nothing.
lmao, are they suggesting they were framed? the balls were provided by them, and were altered (or switched) after testing, on their sideline, while supervised only by NFL and NE representatives. so unless they are blaming the refs, or nfl representatives of intentionally framing them, it is obvious the alterations were done by NE staff. i'd say that is evidence. it's just a matter of whether the NFL prefers to bury this, rather than having the stench hang over their marquee event. i'm not sure Goddell has the stomach to see it through. so to that end, i can see a scenario where nothing comes out of this. what Goddell might not understand tho, is the stench will still be there whether he addresses this or not. might even be worse by brushing it under rug.
Shady Brady is the headline on Foxnews.com, similar to their previous efforts to pump up the scandal. New York media is trying it's hardest for you guys.
If I were you, i would curb your expectations and expect them to do nothing so that way there will be less of a letdown when they let them get off scott free yet again.
They don't need to try very hard. New England seems to cover that for themselves. Once a cheater always a cheater.
seems like they are wearing tinfoil hats on pats fans This is all about 4 things: 1. Tampering charges against Jets 2. BB not apologizing adequately for Spygate 3. Good dells revenge 4. The perception that Kraft is a pushover So Goodell cocked this up to make BB relive Spygate
I wonder how this will affect the game itself? Normally I would say this would derail a football team but NE does a good job of blocking out most of the noise. Seattle also runs the risk of thinking this takes a little bit out of NE's sails. It's possible this ends up being an advantage for NE - both with what could end up looking like a bogus charge in the media, coupled with the perfectly legal formation complaints from the Ravens.... and then in perception of both teams' preparation.
