What do you think the lowest Percy would take in a Restructure?

Why? You can't be serious!!! The Jets haven't had a quality OLB or pass rusher in forever. Your "give and take" comment is nonsensical. It's not about have perfect people in every position. It's about having a productive player in the most important position in your defensive alignment!!!! Continuing to leave the most important D position to the future is idiotic. You obviously have no understanding of the Jets defensive shortcomings or about a 3-4 D alignment.

I don't see any way Elway and the Broncos let him walk. At the least they will franchise him for 15'.

    We can all dream tho.

As awesome as this would be, I believe DT is a pipe dream. Sure is fun to speculate about our WR core with the addition of DT though.

It is a pipe dream. For one, although he is great friends with Decker, that probably hurts more than helps because Decker can tell him firsthand what a stunning difference it is to go from a team with Peyton at QB to a team with an unsettled QB situation. He is not going to lie to his friend about the struggles. On top of that, why would Denver let him walk? It's a pipe dream, at best.

DT is my favorite receiver in the NFL. He is active in the community and is charitable.

he would be an amazing sign. Highly doubt it though.

Ok we disagree you don't need to insult my intellengence. I understand we have lacked a OLB for forever! But we're getting a pass rush . We're getting sacks! you make it seem like we get no pressure on the QB. IN 09-10 we used to have almost no pass rush from anywhere! All we did was blitz because we had revis and cromartie. Todd Bowles loves to blitz a lot so in theory of signing a defensive player , why not Byron maxwell? Why not get shut down corners and you can blitz a lot. We have different approaches which Is fine. But you making Calvin pace seem like veron golston or someone like that ! Chill I understand you want a Justin Houston or draft a Shaq Thomas or Vic Beasley or Shane because you want young talent that can produce at the position but without any of them we still have an amazing front 7

I know I'm getting get hate for this but what has DT won? sure he gets to the playoffs and even a super bowl but peyton always chokes on the playoffs. Neither decker or dt won anything this year so why not come to a younger team on the rise than the Broncos who are in some trouble especially if peyton leaves

You're making the assumption that Bowles just prefers to blitz all the time regardless of personnel as opposed to the possibility he was playing to the strength of the AZ roster.

If Peyton isn't retiring than Elway and the Broncos will do whatever it takes to ensure that Thomas is a Bronco next season. They'd still be in "win now" mode.

They have been in a "win now mode for 3 years " there best chance of winning a super bowl are behind them . They literally had the most talented roster on paper of a team that I can ever think of! Who else can they get to get better! They can't! And they still can't win

I don't think you can keep him and Decker. You just don't spend that much on Wrs and Thomas will probably be getting double figures. If I have a choice I'd take Thomas but not both.

If he would take that cut then sure..but if he thinks he could get 10 somewhere else gotta think he would find a sucker to give it to him.

I'm sure DT really cares about his fantasy stock. He would be fine on the Jets. Even Tebow threw him TD's.

All that means nothing know. Me and you know that their best days are behind them. But Peyton and Elway aren't thinking rebuild. Not as long as Peyton is there. Their mentality is all that matters.

Sounds like DT will be franchised and Julius Thomas will be a free agent

Sorry, I responded the way I did. I did so because in your first response to me, you seemed clueless as to why we wouldn't want to keep Pace. He's old and glacially slow. He's been very good for us, but it is time to move on. OLB is THE most important position in a 3-4 D alignment. If the Jets have any hopes of ever winning anything, they have to man that most important position with a quality player, not older jags.

Yes, we're getting a pass rush, but opposing QBs often still have all day to find an open receiver against us. I saw a statistic once that even the best DBs can only hope to keep their man covered for something like 3-4 seconds. When opposing QBs have 5-7 seconds, it wouldn't matter if we had two perennial All Pros at CB. We don't really know what Bowles loves to do. He may have blitzed a lot with Phoenix because he had injuries to some key starters on his DL and the rest couldn't generate sufficient pressure. With the DL we have, plus a quality OLB with speed, he would have the option of not having to blitz if he didn't want to. Then there's the matter of opposing TEs and RBs killing us over the middle. We need at least one younger, faster OLB with coverage skills.

I think the Jets should sign a FA CB or two. If they can sign Maxwell for a reasonable price $5-7 million per, fine, but I doubt they'll be able to. The Jets have a LOT of holes. They have to find out if Milliner can play as well. I'd rather sign two decent CBs, than one good one that will be very expensive.

In an ideal world, yes, I'd love to have Houston, but am realistic and know that we can't afford him, even if he is available.

You're wrong. We don't have an amazing front 7. We have an amazing DL, with one quality LB (Davis), and a bunch of old, slow LBeres who leave a lot of plays on the field.
