I see scattered threads about Gailey and Trestman etc... What do we do? Does anyone think that we are actually going to reel in Gailey. He may be better than nothing at this point. I read an article (find it in a minute) talking about how there is a real shortage of decent OC's running around. With Trestman off the street, Roman in Buffalo and Kubiak leading up the Broncos the list is getting very short. We've had nothing but offensive problems for the last 4 years and that needs to be fixed. Anyone really want to turn loose a first year OC on our team? We really need a steady experienced hand to guide these people. ESPECIALLY if we have to go into 2015 with Geno under center. Thoughts people.... Who's out there worthy of bringing in?
Ok...someone just put up in another thread about possibly Mike Sherman...really? I thought that guy was gone and done....
I agree experience is a huge plus from my perspective. However, Gase is still out there, and the OC jobs are filling up quick. I also heard as possibles: Mike Sherman (Cmini) Rob Chuz.... (colts)
Adam Gase! He was a bad interview away from getting the 49ers HC job. He might take the Jaguars job but we have to be close to as attractive of an option. Open up the check book Woody.
I think we're still going to sign Gailey. Schefter's report was kind of misleading (for once). The article i read said Gailey absolutely wants to be here.. theres no conflict of interest... we just haven't inked a deal. THats all he was saying. He so happened to mention that other teams are interested becase he was asked. Gailey may still be our guy. But if not... im with a few other posters on the McDaniel wagon.
Wonder if Frank Reich, would consider a lateral move from San Diego, or pissed that he didn't get the HC position. Just thinking out loud...
Ooooooo....Belichick would have a freakin' conniption! LOL!!! Sadly, I don't see McDaniels leaving the Patriots to take a lateral move and, to be quite honest, I foresee McDaniels hanging around until BB retires. He is the heir apparent. I don't know much about Gase but is he 100% out at Denver?? Was he fired? Mike Sherman is a new name floating around and I'm not too sure about him. Anyone know anything about him? I'd take Gase but, to be honest, thanks to the misleading reports that Gailey had been hired, I did quite a bit of research and he actually would fit our bill quite nicely. Especially considering he built quite a career off of making lesser talent proficient. The only thing I DO know is the Jets better line up a guy this week. Not too sure about scouting the college ranks...there ARE a couple OC guys in the NCAA that I think would translate quite well...
yes!! So happy we got the deal done New York Jets @nyjets 9m9 minutes ago We have named Chan Gailey our offensive coordinator- http://bit.ly/1yH4Gxg
