    Car Escapades on Ice:

While there are many Yonkers streets much steeper than this one, still, what idiot tries to drive down a hilly street on ice? Driver did a good job trying to keep it together...but Mother Nature and the Yonkers terrain eventually won the day...imagine being behind the wheel in this one...

It's like a Road Runner cartoon when Wiley E. Coyote falls off a cliff....then there's a pause.....then 'splat!' In this one you see the car about to crash in the distance.......a pause.....and then a pretty loud "crunch" (considering the distance).

Latest gfs just ran has it staying out to sea. Everything has had it clearing late afternoon sunday. Right now it will depend on strength of the storm on what happens at the airports.

hey guys..just updated the site and will be all over this beginning today. Have a very good update on site last night..and a better one today...IF I MAY SAY SO!! LOL...will be all over this with family still in town till the weekend and me disappearing to my basement to do this!
Guys..major potential...but the best part for snow lover is Tuesday now showing a major storm and then next weekend also showing a major storm..so hold onto your seats...its about to get nuts.

CBG..keep an eye out for flights Sunday night because even though most models show a wrap up by Sunday afternoon late...if what might fall falls...it would lead to major problems Sunday night.
    www.jaysweather.net Get all the details!

I know CBG said he will have to see it to believe it...but someone get the life support machine ready for him..because the future models have so many major storms on it...he might not be able to take it.

NOT YET...AND CBG IS GOING TO BLOW A GASKET...but for the first time in several years...the American model might be right. If thats the case...no Ariens with storm number 1 sir. See the update...this is why I posted today long and hard what could go wrong. When model agreement is not there within 72 hours...red flag. Right now.is it over? Hell no, but I have a crappy vibe tonite.

And understand this...even the NWS is still feeling it...but I have to be honest...bit concerned.
    from the NWS:

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR ATLANTIC COASTAL
WATERS...SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT...NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY AND SOUTHEAST
    NEW YORK.

    .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

A COASTAL STORM SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT COULD RESULT IN EITHER
A SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL ACROSS THE REGION...OR SIGNIFICANT ICING
ACROSS THE REGION. THERE REMAINS A HIGH LEVEL OF UNCERTAINTY WITH
REGARDS TO THE TRACK OF THE LOW...AND THIS WILL GREATLY IMPACT THE
    TYPE AND AMOUNT OF PRECIPITATION.

No gasket blowing here, I kind of expected this.. No reflection on you Jay, hell all the weather people were and some still are on board. but as you have said this is the pattern that the models have been in. Maybe we still get snow Saturday , maybe we get it Tuesday ? BUT I will " believe it when I see it "
The snow lover in me would have rather these storms all been direct hits for us but this pattern started before Xmas so I go with what a wise Jet fan once told me " trends trends trends "
Hopefully for the snow lovers and Cman and his ariens the models are wrong and we get buried,,,,,keep the updates coming

Jay, I'm heading to Killington Friday, coming back Sunday. I'm taking the 4 Wheel Drive and leaving my wife with my little sports car. Is Long Island getting any of the precip that's coming this weekend?

not giving up at all FJF...just that we are now on the fringe...and to get 4 to 6" of snow is very very possible...just not sure about the blizzard conditions over a foot..but lets see where this goes. I will say this, amazing the trend of models showing the right solution..then the wrong solution which is usually a huge storm..and then going back to what is said originally. Never saw a trend like this..and that's why im telling you this. The original thought about the storm on Tuesday was huge..then backed off..and Im going on out a limb thinking this could be the big one....HELL..ITS EASY TO GO OUT ON A LIMB EVERYTIME.

If the trends the models have shown for almost a year and a half are true...the Tuesday storm could be a big one.
