It looks as if the Bucs are going to take either Winston or Mariota which would free up Mike Glennon. I have always been a fan of his and think he would be a terrific QB here in NY. If the Bucs take Winston I believe Mariota could fall to us. If TB takes Mariota at no. 1 I do believe the Titans will take Winston. So, the question is do we feel better with Glennon or Mariota. I personally believe Glennon would be the better option.

Glennon has the stronger arm, has pro experience and has done well at the pro level. More and more questions have been coming out about Mariota and whether or not he will be a good pro.

Trading for Glennon could give us some additional options with our no. 6 pick. We may be in a position to trade out of that pick and acquire more picks which we need for depth. Especially if Mariota is still there at No. 6. If Cooper is there, we also may be able to move out of that spot for more picks.

Trading for Glennon can solve several of our problems - the need for a starting caliber QB and gives us the ability to move down in the draft and acquire much needed depth.

Oh and as I posted this I just saw an alert on my phone that the Eagles are "Going to Try" to move up to pick Mariota.

One advantage of Glennon is he's an immediate plug and play, where Mariota is someone you draft and stash until he shows beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's ready to start.

Different strategies, different impacts. The question is, what would Glennon cost?

I personally think Glennon is a career backup and he throws some WTF INTs (even going back to college). He's got a very strong arm, depends on the asking price. I'm not giving up anything more than a 6th round pick. Options are limited - so if the price is right why not.

He's prob better then Geno Smith

We want the backup QB from the worst team in the league?

The same reason the Bucs aren't going to dump of trade Glennon is the exact same reason we aren't going to dump or trade geno.

Inexpensive experienced player on a rookie contract.

Getting rid of him makes no sense, whether they draft a QB or not.

I like Glennon & the idea but its not going to happen.
Josh McCown will turn 36 & is due $5.25 million in 2015. He'll probably get released leaving only Glennon as the other QB.

    I'd give up a 4th for him.

He's better then any realistic option we could get in the draft. Anyone wanting Hundley or Petty over him in the 2nd is crazy. Plus the free agency class sucks..Sanchez? Moore? Hoyer? Passsss.

Glennon reminds me a lot of Flacco. Not great but with the right situation could be a serviceable starter

If we draft Cooper is it unreasonable to think a QB like Glennon could give us Flacco or Dalton like production? Compared to what we've seen the last 5 years that would be like trading for Brady.

He seems like a poor man's Flacco that needs to be aided by a heavy play action run offense. I'm not opposed to giving up a late round pick for Glennon he's just a tough guy to see succeeding because he's a statue without an amazing deep ball like Flacco or the ability to shrug defenders like Roethlisberger.. The statues are going to find it harder and harder to succeed in this league and will probably be phased out nearly completely soon enough.

He's still worth a 6th round pick to us a team with no quarterback though.

I'd much rather Fitzgerald than Glennon.

If Glennon could play the Bucs would not be drafting a QB at No. 1.

He's got potential, but whoever we decide to pursue, I'd really like to go with a guy who isn't overly turnover prone for a change. I'm just so tired of constantly rooting for a quarterback who consistently gives the ball to the other team.

The Moore I think about it, the Moore I like that guy from Miami. What is his name?
I think he'll give Chan Moore to work with.

Not convinced Geno would've done worse this year chucking it up to Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson. Glennon would be good competition in camp and an upgrade over Matt Simms but bringing in Glennon with Geno and Simms wouldn't make me feel better about our QB situation.

Glennon has shown to be a far superior player in the NFL than Geno. Glennon had the misfortune of getting stuck with a new regime in his 2nd year after having a very good rookie season. They obviously don't care for his style of play and got McCown instead, playing him even though he performed worse than Glennon when he did get to play in 2014. The fact that they played 35-year old McCown, who stunk, over a young promising 2nd year guy who had an excellent rookie season especially for a 3rd round pick, was ridiculous.

However, it could be fortunate for the Jets as, given their reluctance play him and the certainty of Tampa going QB at 1, he should be available. I'm not saying this guy is the Jets franchise QB, but he offers a lot of tools to work with, youth, a good amount of starting experience in which he played well overall, and as a result, very viable competition at the QB spot.

My ideal QB situation for 2015 given what's out there is to sign Matt Moore, trade a conditional pick or perhaps a player (Coples for Glennon and a draft pick) for Mike Glennon and let those three compete.

why does everyone want glennon so much...and the bucs have nothing to loose by just keeping him for two more years on a cheap rookie contract and be a good backup at worse. they would prob trade him for a 4th round and up..but that would be stupid with a team did that
