Thinking they are going to win and giving them any credit at all for the entire Bellichick era are 2 completely different matters. You know that. _
The reward is almost always worth risk. I read somewhere the fine could be as little as $25k. For a SB appearance? Hell, he pays that much in hush money to administrative assistants he bangs. _
Lol, coming from that tiny tiny little slice of America that believes the Pats aren't serial cheaters. Don't be naive. _
Belichick is the same guy who make his mark and won a SB with the Giants telling his DBs to mug receivers every play because the NFL wouldn't want to look bad and throw a flag for PI every play in the playoffs/SB... He's the same guy who got a SB out of filming the Rams with a slap on the wrist years later... He definitely wasn't worried about any potential punishment over under inflated balls last week... There was no risk for him. He's a scumbag
1) "Mugging" receivers is how Seattle won their championship 2) You are very wrong about the filming of the Rams walk-through: http://web.archive.org/web/20080515132526/http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/football/patriots/view.bg?articleid=1093898&srvc=home&position=0
All the time. Hey, it's not what can be proven, it's what America believes. A Hall of Fame coach and players in the league say it on a routine basis. Perception is reality when talking about legacy. You're team has won championships. Nobody in America believes some or all of them aren't tainted, unless you're a chowder head. _
I'm not reading an article from the Boston Herald and taking it seriously on this subject. Maybe that works with your masshole friends, but I'd wipe my ass with that article. And you really want to compare the coverage seattle uses to what the giants did in the early 1990s? really? not only is the game way different and way more offense friendly but they didn't blatantly tackle the receivers every play like the Giants did to Buffalo and I hate Buffalo.
They are the ones who broke the Rams walk-through story you idiot. Don't let facts get in the way of your agenda. Your points on the Giants don't add one iota of credence to your case.
Hey, just because you'd like to stick your head in the sand doesn't mean I'm wrong. If you honestly believe America thinks the Patriots aren't in some fashion cheaters, that some or all of their championships aren't tainted to some extent--even a little bit--you are either incredibly naive or being intentionally obtuse. It'll be in the first paragrah of the Bellichik/Brady book when it get's written. By someone without a NE accent. _
The ball attendants are not neutral. If you watched the Seattle game, you could see a ball attendant cheering wildly when Lynch scored the go ahead TD. While that doesn't prove anything, it shows that the "ball boys" are not objective observers, like the game officials.
You know, I really don't think there is anything to this whole thing at all, but Belichik really doesn't do himself any favors with this kind of response: "We'll cooperate fully with whatever the league wants, whatever questions they ask, whatever they want us to do," he said. Not exactly a rousing cry of innocence.
And it's not as if every one of those 12 balls are kept in a locked case until brought in from the sideline. Pats fans seem to think the balls are secured by Brinks guards and audited on a per-play basis by the firm of PriceWaterhouseCoopers like the Oscars. _
LOL, A Boston paper apologizing because there was no PROOF they taped the Ram's walk through does not mean they did not tape the Ram's walk through. They have been proven cheaters that taped other teams, just because tapes were not shown to the Boston Herald means nothing. Your responses are a joke, just take your tainted championships and go away. Not one real Super Bowl win.
They were apologizing for breaking a story that turned out to be false. Matt Walsh admitted that they never recorded Rams walkthrough's as he had previously claimed for the story in the Herald. But why use facts? Hating is much easier without them. Edit: Please show the "proof" that they taped other teams. Good luck.
Well most of the proof was burned in Goodell's fireplace but isn't it proof enough that the Patriots got punished and BB offered a veiled apology for something for the first time in his life?
He was punished for illegally taping signals. How is being punished for illegally taping signals proof of recording other teams practices (as was implied by the previous poster)?
