I'd be happy with Gailey. But the way it sounds, Bowles should be running, not walking, to go and call Marc Trestman. Get it done.
Yes--this business requires way to much dedication and energy for someone who's not 100% invested--time to move on.
Was more talking myself into Chan Gailey than getting behind him. Wouldn't be disappointed if he joins another staff. It's definitely time to give Trestman a call.
Gotta love Dan Quinn. So confident in his abilities that he runs from the AFCE and runs to the weakest division in the history of football.
Weighing his options is not exactly an indication that he doesn't want the Jets job. That is just smart on Gailey's part. Unless of course his options are Jets or nothing, then yeah, not good.
Freddie Kitchens was Bowles alternative candidate for OC. He was AZ's QB coach and their staff showed they can get a lot out of limited QB talent. If we lose Gailey he could be next in line..I'd give Trestman a call first but Kitchens could work out.
Pfft...you know what...I wouldn't run to Matt Ryan, Roddy White & Julio Jones...I'd fuckin' SPRINT! But that's just me... Stupid statment. Let's hope the decent offseason doesn't take a stupid turn by bringing in some goofball OC when that is the biggest problem on the damn team. Let's make sure we get someone proven.
Actually they got very little out of Lindley. Gailey has never worked with Bowles before so the question is whose choosing him to be the OC. If Gailey's being forced on Bowles just another indication that the Jets are a horseshit organization that nobody good wants to work for.
http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2015/01/chan_gailey_says_he_wants_to_be_jets_next_offensiv.html Bowles wants Chan. It sounds like a strictly money issue based on that article.
Or that he runs to a place that has a franchise QB and an offense in place. Its not like he has much control over the situation anyway
I'd rather have Chan for the simple fact he can actually run an offense. Knowing the Jets if we don't get the competent one, we'll take someone out of left field and it will be awful.
