The better question is what qualifies you to determine who is a solid candidate and not? Leave it to the pros. The reaction is good, the buzz is positive and we can look at what we can see. Defense was 24th overall but they were a bend but not break kind of defense.No his background isn't as strong as Rexs was with defense but I think he has a chance to be a great head coach.I say that because he worked under Arians who has done great things in this league...hopefully he picked up something from him
John Harbaugh was a Special Teams coach. Look at him now, one of the best HC's in the game. Bowles is plenty qualified.
