    [QUOTE

I say throw a 3rd to the Titans for mettenberger, I think he would do well with Gailey as OC and CJ spiller and Ivory as his RBs.

Everything I read says the titans really like Mettenberger ,,,,,off the top of my head Sam Bradford ? Also made of glass! Chad Henne anyone ,ugh! ,,,,here's something I thought of before I typed this,,,Stanton ? What's the deal he signed in Arizona , and Maybe he has some ties to Bowles ? I mean Bowles saw him every day in practice and ironic that the guy was signed by us only to be jerked around 3 years ago,,,,thoughts ?

Hoyer went through a 3 game stretch at the end where he threw 0 Touchdowns and 7 Interceptions.

Jameis Winston is INCREDIBLY talented imo. If you look at the lasers he throws....it's amazing. His adjustment on throws under pressure is incredible. I honestly hope Winston falls to the Jets.

I don't want to deal with these washed up QBs like Locker, Hoyer, Bradford etc.... They aren't good. I want a QB to come in and be the next franchise QB.

I am confident the new management finds us a QB other than Smith or Simms. They both have had their chance. I am sick of hearing "if Geno shows improvement"...,it's like saying our Team is his training ground for the CFL. To all the Geno Smith apologists: Get real and move on.....Please Geno, take your Wonderlic score and go someplace else lol

I don't know anyone who defends Geno. Do they really exist? Don't think Bowles or Maccagnan will be one of them.

i certainly am not a fan of geno.. I was at the buffalo game when he threw 3 picks and got benched.. ugly! however lets be realistic geno has shown he can play at a high level. I remember after the falcons Monday night game his rookie season I thought damn we may have found our quarterback. geno has talent but he needs to be consistent.. I honestly do not see the jets targeting a qb in the early rounds of the draft. I look for geno smith, matt simms. and either matt moore or ryan Fitzpatrick in camp with us. both have ties with bowles/gailey and they have been around the league. I would be interested to see who would win the qb battle. if geno would win he would definitely be improving and he would have a fire under his ass.

and like I said in the other thread on here I do not see mariota or Winston coming to #6 and if somehow they do we need to pass. take a lower risk position/player like shane ray at olb or Amari cooper at wr.. depending on the harvin situation. I do not think the new management is going to want to take a rookie qb with the number 6 pick and have that weighing on there shoulders if he is a bust.

I would love to have Cro back, Spiller would be great. What do we do for a QB? Do we get a stop gap, like Hoyer?

Not Likely. They are not beholden to him cause they picked him. He'll get an objective look, obviously a QB needs to be brought in either way.

Hopefully the days are over of the prolonged agony of watching the likes of Stephen Hill, Kyle Wilson and the like suck, and hearing Rex, Tanny, and Idzik say different.

How horrible a job did they do with the roster? I never had the confidence that our roster was being handled as good as it should've been. And I always felt I was being Bullshitted.

I think its a sure thing on Cromartie coming back, same with spiller providing we cut Johnson.. as for qb i think Fitzpatrick is the front runner if we are looking for a vet. did very well for chan in buffalo plus has ties with maccagnan in Houston

Sorry Cody, but I have to disagree. You would pass on a Mariota or a Winston if somehow they fell to us? OMG .....How much is Geno "improving" (he isn't). I would rather have Moore or Fitzpatrick if there was a gun to my head and had to choose between them and Geno. IMHO we missed the boat not getting Jimmie G. last draft.
Look to this draft for Mac, considering his scouting skills, to find us several diamonds in the rough including the QB position.

i agree on some levels. we must a ton of solid qbs last draft. the qb class was stacked. I personally was hoping for McCarron. This draft is not anywhere near last years as far as qb. Both mariota and Winston have talent but they also have a lot of risk. especially with the#6 pick. I just could see macc playin it safe and getting a lower risk guy like shane ray or another olb that could immediately fill a hole and make an impact for us. then trying to get that diamond in the rough in the later rounds like maybe petty, grayson etc.

I don't under understand why so many ppl want Cro back. He's near the end of his career and is a HORRIBLE tackler. I would rather move forward with you guys than bring him back in. Last thing I want to see next year is his ass chasing Edelman or amendola around the field.

You can put a Bellow to go with that fire under him and Geno would still not be a good qb, part of the report that came out on him was the exact same thing you said, he has some flashes of ability and it gives fans and management hope, but at the end of the day, that's all you will get from him are just flashes of ability.

I can live with Matt Moore for one year, if that's what it takes to allow this regime to get everything in place.

in all seriousness though I have always been a fan of cro and I think he has 2-3 years in the tank I would rather bring cro back a little cheaper rather than go get tramon Williams or something. if we can land a younger more talented corner than cro and fit it into our cap go for it

aside from the cro talk... I know it is a big move with a big cap hit but if harvin won't restructure his contract and we cut him could you guys see us making a move for demaryius Thomas?? him and decker are very tight and Denver is falling apart right now. could Thomas cash in with the jets? the only way I see it is if harvin is gone of course.. thoughts???

Personally I would take care of our guys first, then see what is available to us in FA qb wise, then I would talk to DT, it would be nice to see him on the Jets.

There will be a new QB in camp next year, if not two, that much you can gather. Simms is a waste of a roster spot and will most likely be gone. So that only leaves us with Geno coming back. This is where Maccagnan's team really needs to step up their game and start scouting every QB coming out that will still be available after the 1st round.

If the Jets want to go hard, then they should target Demaryius. However, he most likely stays in Denver I'm sure. As bad as our offense is right now, I'm actually leaning towards Shane Ray at #6. We haven't had a true edge rusher in forever. Add him to the horses on the line and that could mean nightmares for opposing QB's. I think we address offensive skill positions and CB in FA, although we could most likely find some good WR and CB talent in rounds 2 and 3.
