Go look at my posts from 2012 on JI. I was there at the Pinstripe Bowl. Saw Geno play live 3 times.

2012 was the shittiest QB draft in the last decade.

That was NOT the year to draft a QB.

    In any round.

Last year was the year to take a QB.

    In EVERY round.

    Answer your question?

Then refrain from making stupid comments.

I'm not a huge Winston fan but I think he's hoing to be one hell of a pro QB. If he keeps his head straight.

    I respect his talent.

Calling him "garbage" is just stupid.

    Welcome to the board.

    Don't be stupid.

I was surprised we cut Boyd actually. I thought he had potential. but you are exactly right in every round there was a QB worth grabbing. I was kind of surprised we didn't take someone like mettenberger or even McCarron though with the uncertainty surrounding geno

McCarron was my dream pick after round 4, I thought a year earlier he'd be a late first early second rounder in 2014. I'd still like to trade for him as I think he could be a 10 year starter. I actually sent a letter to Idzik imploring him to take McCarron. I'm also a huge Mettenberger fan as are the folks in Nashville and why I think they'd be the perfect trade up partner for us the grab Mariota. As for Boyd, go back and read the Boyd thread. I thought he'd beat out Geno this year for a roster spot. I still think he's an NFL talent.

Shows you what I know. Come to think of it, fuck Mariota and Winston :D

at least we do agree on some stuff JStokes lmao, I would love to have McCarron we feel the same way about him for sure. And I think (hope) Boyd gets a chance in he NFL from someone. I would say he is better than Geno too.. If you were to predict our opening day depth chart for next seaon what 2 do you have... providing simms is our number 3 guy..

If Mariota falls, are we so bent on taking him?

Let Chip Kelly trade up to get him. Ask for this years first, next years first, and 2017 first. That would be amazing for the franchise.

Also...I think Bryce Petty is incredibly underrated. He's extremely raw and draws concern with arm power, but he's incredibly accurate. He might be worth drafting in the early second round if he falls.

if you've read I personally don't want either of the top 2 qbs. I haven't seen petty much so cant say but I like garrett grayson. nice accurate passer not a huge arm but limits turnovers and he is pretty mobile.

If he falls, take him. The Chip Kelly stuff is completely stupid and driven by media pundits.

I don't give a shit if Winston has the ability to be the next Joe Fuckn' Montana. That turd burglar is going to end up behind bars with the jello filled melon he has between his ears. I can't think of, in recent memory, a college kid that has been accused of, implicated in and or taken before more shit than this ass bag. If it was stupidity he stepped in it.

Yeah, with the NY Jets history of drafting QB's, I'm not going to take that leap. Let some crew like the Buccaneers draft the shit out of this kid. He ends up in New York and you can forget that crap. He'll probably pull a Plaxico and blow a hole in his own leg. We'd all be sitting here 2 years from going "The signs were all there but we had to pull a NY Jets and be the one two draft him." How about let's not this time and say we did.

Best you'll get is someone else's failed QB. Sometimes those pan out, most of the time they don't.

I'm not opposed to trading back with Philly but the haul has to benefit both sides

We aren't getting 2016 AND 2017 First Round Picks

    We'll get 2015 1, 2 and 2016 1, 4

I'd do that honestly if we had another young QB option.

I like Glennon in New York because he's got a personality similar to Eli, a Cannon of an arm that will rip through the air and he's got prototypical size

I agree, I want the Jets to target Petty. I think Petty has the athleticism, the arm, the quick release, he's a good kid and very smart (already has his master's degree.)
