His eyes tell you he doesn't want 27 million? He's not used to being there its all new to him.He reminded me a lot of the old Rex that died some years ago ,talked with more energy and confidence then the last two years since Idzik put his balls in a tiny little box

I think Rex took his firing personal. He going to want to beat the hell out of the Jets. Now if Geno gets traded to Buffalo I maybe just change my favorite team. Lol

Trading Geno to the Bills would be another great move for the Jets.

Hopefully focusing all his efforts on two teams instead of just the Patriots will wear him thin. Great coordinator, terrible HC.

Yeah, I'd have to agree. The Bills owner DOES make Woody Johnson look like John Mara...that is if you are talking about how Johnson and Mara inherited their fortunes from their daddies, who inherited it from THEIR daddies.

On the other hand, self-made multi-billionaires like Pegula are rarely "morons." That guy did not have it handed to him, or at least handed golden opportunities on a silver platter with a parachute that people can only dream about. He made ALL that money himself.

Being uncomfortable in the spotlight doesn't not make one stupid, as reflected in the case of Terry Pegula. There are billions of reasons that speak otherwise.

Pegula is green in the football world. Hiring Rex Ryan was really the first thing he's ever done in football that's worth noting. Not the worst move, ask me. But put some of the smartest people I know in front of a camera to be broadcast out to millions, and they probably wouldn't reflect their true intelligence or know-how.

    Rex is a massive embarrassment

Thankfully not our embarrassment any more

He is all hype and all he cares about is …

    1. Teams will be afraid of us (but yeah they will still beat us)
    2. Our defense will be top 5 ranked (but yeah no turnovers and we will lose a lot of games)

A pathetic pathological liar wind bag chump who has all the wrong goals

I have a strong feeling the Bills didn't give him a 27 mill dollar contract to have a top 5 defense and the fear of other teams

I'm smiling as I read through this thread. A bunch of Jets fans tuning in to watch a Buffalo Bills press conference.

You are saying this in reference to a self-made multi-billionaire? Nice.

What's in your wallet, as the commercial says?

Already saying his usual "We are going to the playoffs" yada, yada, yada, at least he is saying playoffs this time and not Superbowl like he did with us for about 4 seasons before finally realizing it wasn't happening.

No they don't, they act like he was Rich Kotite.

Change was only needed b/c of the foolish changes we made post 2010 leading up to this season.

I noticed that too, he has very few non white hairs left.

Oh I agree with that. The problem is this only half of the story. Or, to be more accurate, this is only 33.33% of the story. The other 2/3 of it progressive decline over the 4 years following the two good ones.
Rex was not fired for the first 2 years. He was fired for the last 4.

How about this, Junc, maybe analogy will help you

I hired you as a supervisor over my sales team. For the first 2 years you did well. The following 4 years, the sales are on decline and I'm loosing customers and account.
The way I'll see it is this:
Junc came over and for 2 year was riding high on my already established system. But rode it to the ground thus proving he is a shitty supervisor.

Try telling me that this was because of my mingling with you team! A simple answer will be: you didn't oppose the mingling = your fault.

was I in charge of personnel? b/c Rex wasn't. Rex took what was here and made it much better, as cap issues came and talent drained the team started to struggle but he still did a good job getting the most out of his teams.

In your scenario I would have made your team MUCH better than they were and gotten the most out of what we had the last 4.

Excuses!!! I gave you organization to run, you fucked it up. End of story.

    Re bolded:
BULLSHIT!!!! NOt being able to get his players to play is the reason Rex lost my support.

    @ SD: 0-31
    vs. BUF:23-43
    @ BUF: 3-38
    @KC: 10-24

THis is 4 games lost because RR couldn't motivate his players. There is no excuse for this -- this is on the coach, and RR had to go.

if you don't give me power to pick my guys how did I mess it up? I got most out of the guys I inherited.

Bad games happen, no other coach was getting 8 wins out of that roster in 2013, not many getting 6 in 2012.
