Just an opinion. I've seen a lot of QB's come from a spread offense or some type of variation of it who have struggled in the NFL. Some have succeeded but more have failed in recent years.

Why do you think he can adapt? The truth is nobody is going to know until we see him perform at the pro level. I'd just stay away from the project if I were the Jets.

Eh to each their own. I watch him play within the team and circumstances he's put and am very impressed. Great QB in my eyes. Not an elite one, but great.

I think he can adapt because the kid has the mental ability it takes. He processes information fast, he's got a more than adequate arm and he's a good decision maker. He's a hard worker and a phenomenal athlete.

You basically want the Jets to wait until what? Someone falls into their laps, this isn't the old regime if Rex was still here I'd say pass but I'll give the new guys the benefit of the doubt

All fair points. I disagree with picking him but we'll see what happens.

I dont want them to wait for anything. I think the player we are talking about wont be good at the next level. So I want the Jets to address the position in another way. That's all.

I would bring in Hoyer or Bradford. We need a game manager and repair the o line. Our franchise QB is not in this draft anyway, I just don't want to be humiliated next year.

I would go as far to say I would never draft a QB first round unless he's a Peyton or Luck type of can't miss, I would take my shots in the later rounds.

Do you think Cook is better than Mariota or Winston?

Thank god you're not the gm. Let's just pass up on all the future flaccos, roesthlisbergers, Rodgers, ryans, and rivers just for a SHOT at a once in a generation qb? 2025 sb here we come!

Saying Hackenberg is a bad QB is your opinion, NFL execs think otherwise. He has a big arm, high football IQ, smooth in the pocket. He will be a top pick if he comes out next year.

How many of his games have you seen?

You know how often a Manning or Luck prospect comes around? About 10-15 years. If the regime likes a guy, you take him.

Here's the answer to all of you who don't see the draft as having enough QB talent.
    STAY WHERE YOU ARE.

No need to go past 6 -10, hey 8 -8 was fine with Rex and Geno.
Maybe the Jets can repeat at 4 - 12 and you can brag about how consistent they are.
    You are clueless.

They come around every year and are not always first rounders.

...and hey since it's hard, give up, maybe you can get Geno up to 6 wins.

Please provide all your NFL exec insider info. Would love to hear it.

Btw, I saw Hackenberg's first game ever live at MetLife. My son's best friend goes to Penn State, I watch all the games. He's big, gangly, unathletic, inaccurate, stilted. I see a very limited football IQ.

Other than being big, he's not very good.

He's a bad version of Bortles.

Lol, so true. You cannot take an outstanding talent like Mariota in the first round because he's not Luck or Peyton.

This franchise will never have a franchise QB with that logic.
