The more I read the more I like about the hires. Of course I'm a little worried about Chan Gailey since he was gone for 2 years, but he has a proven track record as an OC and if he could get Buffalo's offense to look competent he knows a thing or two about making the most out of a less then perfect situation. The off-season...the only time jets fans can have hope lol so I am going to feel good about this and pray we turn the team around next year.
Does Bowles keep his mouth shut? If yes then we've already improved at the head coaching position. Here's to hoping he has the stuff to get it done on the field.
I like his Manner, not a buffoon for the media. Bowles will make our defense better than Rex did, he made a damn good defense in Arizona after so many injuries.
We are in general agreement here, and what's more I don't know if you caught that Atlanta had asked Bowles to come back for a second interview, so it's not accurate to say, as I think you did, that no one else was interested in him.
I'm going to take a wait and see approach. That is really all you can do with any coordinator that becomes a coach. It's a crapshoot. I feel like we wanted Quinn, but settled for the 2nd best option. Maybe we got lucky and he will be the better coach.
Only 2 HC positions left out there now, Denver and Atlanta. I think the Jets made the right decision and timing is everything.
The Blocker, who - if you will - is big, does not simply ponder upon a proposition of circumstances. That is lowly contemplation akin to the mental manipulation a of a lesser sphere of understanding about the universe and henceforth all the entities contained within the aforementioned celestial composition of inorganic, and presumptually organic, matter. The previously mentioned being, his name akin to the topic of this diatribe, therefore does not simply think, rather he evaluates and responds in a capacity of the intellectual acuity possessed only within a gentleman beast person of wit and brawny eloquence. Therefore, therefore, therefore, nevermore.
I think it's a terrible choice, we've had little luck with first time head coaches. I wanted someone with experience. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I heard Ron Jaworski talking about Bowles this morning. Turns out he was Bowles next door neighbor when he was in Philly and got to know him pretty well. I am cautiously optimistic, I am not sold on Bowles , but I like a lot of what I am starting to hear.
Those wondering about the press conference: Eric Allen @eallenjets 3m3 minutes ago Jets Introductory News Conference for GM Mike Maccagnan & HC Todd Bowles will be next week. Won't be MON. We'll let you know ASAP.
It's one thing to jerk off to a guy's manner, as if that has anything to do with coaching ability. It's another thing to make false blanket statements. Bowles had 3 probowlers on his defense AFTER the injuries and still couldn't crack the top five and was god awful in total D.
