That is a great point too. Rex HAD to be fired. It would be pure insanity to retain him after going 4-12 and missing the playoffs for a 4th straight season. Even if he wins a Super Bowl in Buffalo, I will always support his firing. However, he won't win in Buffalo, as he is a one dimensional loser.
Junc, If Rex will get Sanchez as a "backup" QB, you'll be rooting for both of them anyway. Being in our division this = rooting against Jets. So..... If Rex brings Sanchez to the Bills, will you please officially give up your Jets fanhood card?
Saltyness is what I'm detecting from all of you. You miss your coach, that makes me more pumped. That press conference was like a pep rally, I just want to rip someones head off!!!
I remember the feeling. Enjoy it while it lasts. It wears off in november when his teams make the same mistakes over and over and you almost wish your team didn't have the ball because the game is more fun to watch when you are on defense.
Bold is where I'm more in wait-and-see mode. There are examples when coaches changed and "clicked" coming into a different team. Although judging from his presser there was no changing... will see.
This won't be the last time Rex makes you want to rip someones head off. The guaranteed loss after the bye week where it appears as if the team is still on vacation is generally a guaranteed rip someones head off moment, for example.
If he can somehow luck into having a franchise QB, that is all he needs. He will never change or click. He is Rex.
Cant lie, watched the presser, Rex got me pumped and I'm excited for the rivalry we may create with Buffalo. But he's gone and he's the enemy now
Listening to his presser I kind of got the feeling that I have heard it before. I was waiting on the edge of my seat for Play Like a Bill.
It can't get worse than last year and they went 9-7 last year. People talk about how bad Rex's offense was. Do you guys realize that the Bills offense ranked lower than NY's in multiple categories???
I am definitely salty with how everything went down with Rex. He let me down. I feel betrayed. Now he is bringing the same routine to Buffalo. That is life though. JetsUK is right. Time to let it go and move on. Playing the Bills twice a year will be fun.
I don't think he dislikes the Jets at all. Even the fanbase was in support of him when he got fired. I think he understands what had to go down, no matter how unfortunate it was.
If Rex loses to Bowles after getting his ass kicked twice by Marrone last season don't you think that Bills fans are going to be pissed off. And he's already bragging about his defense saying they are no. 1. I'm sure Wilk and the guys really appreciated that.
