The part where you said you can roll money over until you are over the cap. Didn't I quote your post clearly enough?
I'm not going to explain it for a fourth time. Do you think it's odd that you're the only one asking this? It hasn't struck you yet that maybe the issue here is your comprehension skills?
You haven't even explained a first time. It took you three fucking months to even post a link to the CBA rule that you were intimating, and now you are failing to adequately insult me. The only reason I even bothered to support this stupid thread was because I knew that there were smart people out there to challenge it, but I think it flew under radar because it got pinned. You haven't ever mentioned the percentage of the cap that needs to be met, which is essential to the rule, and still act like you are the most fucking knowledgeable guy around about it. The fact is that you don't know shit. Most of us knew about this rule, and the way you explained it was about as childlike as it gets. Three fucking months and a ton of chiding. That's what it took for you to post the link to a very vague rule that somewhat backs your thread up. You said you'd do that on August 28th. Fail.
No. You don't. You kind of missed a real important variable. A team MUST spend 89 percent of it's available salary cap over the defined 4 year periods... It's a device that adds some flex in the short term, but not much beyond that....particularly if you want to hand out several large signing bonuses. But the trap lies in being forced to spend it, when the money is wasted.(or not spending it and the money is wasted anyway...)
Go figure the two of you would form a bond... you guys are peas in a pod. This is unbelievably dumb and petty. You know why I didn't say anything about the 89% rule? Two reasons: -You asked about rolling over rolled over money. Not about what percentage of the cap space has to be spent. -THERE'S AN ENTIRE DISCUSSION ABOUT THE 89% RULE ON PAGE 1
I read the thread. And no, it was not an entire discussion, and the more salient point was the rollover exists in defined four year terms. Aside from that, you were right, sort of...about it's use/intended purpose. The construct exists solely to allow GM's to stash cash for signing bonuses to players they want to keep long term. Pretty much cut and dry. But hailing Idzik for gutting the team, when four players he got rid of, would have made this team a far better product, because the rollover exists...is kind of nonsensical. Exclude Sanchez, but Cro,Slauson,Howard make this team infinitely better, as the OL would have remained intact, absent injury for several years. and Cro, for all his issues, is still one of the most gifted athletes that suits up on sundays and is superior to any corner that's been in Florham Park not named Revis. And that's roughly 10-11 mil.
For his own coach, Idzik might well have altered his team-building schedule, dissuaded him from sitting on more than $20 million in salary cap space entering this season. The next GM and coach are going to be very thankful for what Idzik did. As we should be too. If your problem with Idzik was his talent evaluation and negotiating tactics, then this is the best of both worlds for you.
brady just reworked his contract to free up $24 million. either revis stays there , or he follows rex to chicago or atlanta. i do not believe he ever returns to the jets. however, i once floated the idea of having antonio cromartie play free safety. marcus williams could be serviceable at one corner or the slot. have either mc dougle or millner at one corner, plus pick up another corner in the draft.
pretty much agree. problem is that brick showed considerable drop in performance this year. howard played better at rt, slauson about the same at lg as aboushi, but both winters and colon were horrible at pass blocking. cro would make a good fs, imo. especially if it lets the other safety play more in the box.
Shouldn't we be more prudent with money than to throw it at overworked runningbacks with broken hands? Assuming that we have hired a personnel man at GM, I'd rather spend mid round picks for RBs than tens of millions of dollars.
If Peyton leaves I would be throwing every dollar we have at Demaryius Thomas. We're lucky enough to be in position to do so.
Dudes, Manning ain't leaving. Manning was freezing out Fox. Elway and Manning think alike, Perfumed Princes rule the roost. Hence, Defensive coach out, Gary Kubiak being pursued, the issue here with Manning is the timing so he doesn't look like the scumbag that he really is. is it that hard to grasp? Really?
