Excellent point. Gailey loves a mobile QB. Got a huge contract for Ryan Fitzpatrick. And Tyler Thigpen look like a good QB with KC
Only? You make it sound like guys routinely leave the game for 5 years and then come back better than ever.
I don't know whats the deal behind Chan Gailey to the Jets...That's just a weird pick up...We have learned that ex-Head Coaches of the NFL that are terrible find way to be good offensive coordinators. I don't know what to say other then if he can make a career out of Ryan Fitzpatrick, then maybe they are hiring Gailey to a 1 year deal to make something out of Geno Smith? I dunno...Seems like a odd pickup
"Fraud"? Come on..that's uncalled for. Give the guy a shot before you start throwing down theses asinine comments. For as I'm concerned, Quinn is just the guy who came after Gus Bradley. Bradley hasn't done anything in Jacksonville.
Don't worry - if he's bringing Gailey here, he won't break that trend here. After going 9-23 in 2 years, he will get fired and maybe we can finally get a guy who knows something about offense...
That is not true. Brash assumption. What about Norv Turner, Gary Kubiak, Josh Mcdaniels just to name a few.
I'm surprised with the whole Chan Gailey as OC talk... This guy sucked... I liked Bowles but I don't like this Chan BS
Sometimes you got to step away from the game for a little bit - you don't know what he does on his free time. I'm not saying he's the best candidate, but he's got good experience. Bowles wants an experienced coordinator - It's better than forcing a coordinator on him like we did with Rex.
Cracks me up that all the people that are against this hire are all the Rex dick riders...go root for fucking Buffalo we don't want you
"Gailey previously served as offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins in 2000–01 when the Dolphins posted consecutive 11–5 records. He was on the Pittsburgh Steelers staff from 1994–97 when the Steelers won four straight AFC Central titles and coached in one Super Bowl (XXX). He was offensive coordinator in 1997 when Pittsburgh ranked sixth in the NFL in total offense and seventh in scoring" Sounds good to me...
What are you talking about? 4 years with the Browns, 3 with the Cowboys, 4 with the Dolphins and the only reason he's leaving the Cardinals is for a promotion.
Wait thats what I am saying, Good coordinators sometimes dont equal good head coaches, and those guys you listed are the case in point
Can anyone answer me with why they think Gailey was out of football for the last two years? Certainly not by choice I'd assume.
