I liked his interview with Peter king, he understood that a separation needed to be made when making the transition from coordinator to HC.
Ok... Noone truly knows what the future brings but Bowles it is. Hope is hope and time will tell good luck Mr. Bowles.
So as it turns out, Casserly was the kingmaker here.. Damn, I really hope Belichek was wrong about him..
Bowles much more comprehensive coaching history at several levels including college. Honestly, very pleased with this choice.
I wasn't big on getting aHC without HC experience, but Quinn and Bowles were two that i was okay with, so i am happy with this
Well, I was the first to trash Geno. The first to trash Idzik. Let me be the first to trash Todd Blowes..... This organization never learns. I'm done.
Excellent job. Bowles has had similar success to Quinn with even more experience. More importantly the brain trust was methodical and thorough. They liked Bowles and didn't let him leave without a deal. That's how you handle businesses. Great job Woody.
it's common sense thinking. We had, by most accounts, one of the best defensive minds in the world coaching our team. Our Defenses, in spite of a lack of talent, were competitive, at worst. Our struggles were on offense, and our inability to develop a QB. I really really hate to be negative, but this makes absolutely no sense to me. Dan Quinn would have been a little more defensible since he's probably about to win a second superbowl as a DC, but Todd Bowles? I don't get it, at all.
I was actually kind of hoping for Bowles after the job he did this year losing All-Pro after All-Pro and still keeping the Cardinals as a top D despite a minus offense down the stretch. Hopefully he'll bring something close to Rex's defensive mind and be an improvement in all the other areas of being a HEAD coach.
