I can't believe I am saying this, but I wouldn't touch him at #6. I'm not an NFL talent evaluator, but I really don't think this kid projects well to the NFL.
It could hurt his stock because it is such a high profile game, but he hasn't really done anything bad to make me think he should drop. His weaknesses were already known before this game. It's not like he has been airmailing throws and turning it over all night. His D is just putrid
Neither Winston nor Mariota comes through as a clean top 3 prospect. It's going to be very interesting to see what happens. If Mariota starts to drop Chip Kelly is going to trade up for him is my guess.
I would do a trade down with the Eagles in a heartbeat if we could nab future 1st and 2nd round picks. Trade down and take a Jaelen Strong later in the 1st round and reap the benefit of extra picks.
He sucks. He's a running QB. I said we need Winston and I'll say it again. WE NEED WINSTON! He has been terrible tonight. Against a fast and very good defense, he struggles.
No but he sure as hell didn't help them. He overthrew people left and right, including the last play of the game.
His team loses and somehow that effects him yet in this thread someone wants Jameis Winston who got 'DESTROYED" by Oregon just a week ago Shit doesn't make sense
I obviously did, stop reaching for negative views and look at the game as a whole, hell his entire college career Let's say he did have 4 overthrows You're basically saying 4 overthrows>>>>the rest of his career get real
you read the first damn reply in the thread??? "THATS WHY YOU DON'T TAKE A QB LIKE THIS ANYMORE, JUST GOT DESTROYED LOL"
Thr bottom line is: you take him at 6. You don't trade up. The kid doesn't look like a potential bust. He can be a pocket Qb but he's a good runner. And is an expert at running a hurry up. I'm not for selling the ranch for a supposed franchise Qb and he turns out to be Mark Sanchez. But this guy is a solid NFL prospect.
