Kind of a stretch here, but after the hype he has been getting the past 3 games, could he possibly declare? After the top 2, you could argue he'd be the next best QB available.
doesn't have the quantity of work to warrant drafting high. he's best served staying another year or two.
Yeah his size and arm, and mobility makes him intriguing. Some would say he's just a poor man's Jamarcus Russell though, which, to put it kindly, ain't a good thing Elliott is the kid intriguing me in this game but he is only a soph
While I do agree with you, I still think it would be a very interesting evaluation process lol. The iron is hot
He has made some nice throws. Oregon's offense has been exposed though and they are such a finesse team compared to Ohio State
He's not starting for them in 2015. Maybe they'll let him transfer. You would think they owe him that. He would get a chance to play somewhere. They probably wouldn't let him transfer to a Big Ten school. I was surprised by his arm. He might be able to play in the NFL.
All I know is that it's gonna suck for Cardale when he will have to transfer and waste a year of eligibility since he won't be starting in 2015. Maybe the NCAA will let him be eligible when he transfers, if that's even possible.
J.T. Barret is the best QB on that roster. IMO. As of right now, down the road, we'll see. Zeke is going to be a stud, I'm glad he isn't coming out this year just because the odds of us drafting him this year is remote at best.
Came away very impressed with him. I think the hype is deserved. Small sample size, but damn he can sling the ball and he can move. I'd say he'd go at worst in the 2nd if he came out this year solely on body of work.
The unknown favors the prospect. I can bet that some team would fall in love with the kid and take him in the 2nd-3rd round. He really is an intriguing prospect. Kid's got a shit ton of raw talent.
I would take Cardale in a heartbeat, even though he isn't declaring. He has the size and arm of Cam, but his mobility is more like Roethlisberger's. To take him now would require a good QB coach and a year or two on the bench. Still, I think he would have been the smartest QB pick if he would have gone into this draft. Mariota was always a system guy who only had to make easy throws and Jameis can't be trusted with turnovers and off-the-field stuff.
I would consider taking him in the 7th round. I mean come on we can't be seriously considering taking is guy. He's played 3 collegiate games and even though he won a national championship he still may be the 3rd string QB next season. Kenny Hill was the runaway heisman winner after 4 games and then lost his job to a true freshman and now plans to transfer. This would be insanely stupid.
Cardale should declare no question about it. He needs to ride this championship run into the NFL. If he does stay there is no way OSU doesn't make him the starter. He's got the tools, I would definitely seriously consider drafting him in a high round if I'm a QB needy team. I'm more impressed with his skillset than I am with Mariota.
3 games and he's all of a sudden Ben Roethlisberger/Cam Newton hybrid? He definitely has NFL arm but he lacks accuracy and I doubt he has NFL caliber footwork or intangibles just yet. They're things he could improve on but if he declares for the draft he shouldn't be considered until Day 3. Mariota and Winston are on completely different levels as prospects and if either are available we need to draft them.
