Because he loves Rex.. There can be no other coach but the first coach. Kinda like a first love thing I guess.
Because Rex is his first coach and Dunbar is his favorite coach. I don't see why a guy wouldn't follow the money AND the coaches that he enjoys playing for.
Then get ready now, 'cause there's a decent chance it'll happen. The Bills' front office apparently loves EJ Manuel, but they'll need a veteran backup and Rex will pull for Sanchez to be that guy. After EJ gets hurt or struggles, Rex will probably replace him with Sanchez, and try to repeat the formula of the '09 and '10 Jets, which the '15 Bills will be somewhat similar to.
Bills fans were actually calling in to Am 550 (espn Buffalo) and talking about what a great idea this would be. The other scenario they kept bringing up, which actually scares me a bit, is making a trade for Cutler. Rex's attitude might actual get him to play consistent.
Buffalo is pretty stacked but teams always make room for elite players like Mo. Since Mo makes about $2M now, playing out under the tag for $10-$12m then going to Buffalo for his big 2nd contract wouldn't be too shabby for him.
if Rex's attitude made players consistent he'd still be the jets coach. amazing the folk legend that rex has become. where do people dream this shit up? by the end of the week I expect to hear about how st. ryan drove the snakes out of Ireland.
Mo's from NJ. Unless the Jets and new coach are a disaster I don't think he'd give Rex the time of day. If Rex calls him he'll say something like this. "Hey, you saying Buffalo. Yeah and fuck you, too. " (click)
I root for the team If mo wanna walk let mo walk No human is irreplaceable How many titles Mo Wilk won for NYJ? Thanks "Fans"
First coach? What about his coach at Temple? High school? Wilkerson won't be going to Buffalo. He will fall in love with Quinn.
It really is fascinating. Rex has created an unprecedentedly popular persona for a coach who has lost more games than he has won over a six year period. The Rex fanboys on this message board write about him like he's Vince Lombardi. I've seen countless posts labeling the Bills as "instant contenders" and claiming that we are "doomed" because we are now faced with the perils of having to go up against Rex twice a year. Give me a fucking break. It is completely and utterly delusional. It isn't close to being consistent with Rex's actual coaching record. As I wrote in another thread, Rex truly has created a "cult of personality."
I'd love to get Sanchez. All we need is an Orton type (good enough to win with) which Sanchez is. Sanchez isn't a franchise QB but we don't have to have one to win this year. He can buy us some time.
