yeah this is definitely, something I noticed when creating threads...We really cannot edit Subject Thread Titles within say the first few minutes of creating a thread or include a poll.

Is this something that can be added? Alleviates the workload on mods to make constant edits.

Jets are looking at possibilly not waiting for Quinn and getting screwed at the last moment, good practice.

Also, I heard, not official, Jets are looking at Sean Mcdermott, Carolina DC, smart young defensive mind.

Yea Poe, only Mods can edit Thread Titles, which is probably a good thing cause people can screw around and mess with someone's thread. If I see an error, I have no issue fixing it, or someone cam PM a Mod online.

Report: Sean McDermott to interview for Jets head coaching job

The Jets appear to have settled on a new General Manager after spending several days with Texans director of college scouting Mike Maccagnan, but it doesn’t look like they’re ready to shut down the head coaching search.

Dan Graziano of ESPN.com reports that the team will interview Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott for the job on Wednesday. It’s the first interview that McDermott has lined up since the end of the regular season, which may just mean that he opted to wait until the Panthers season came to an end.

McDermott has been the defensive coordinator in Carolina since 2011 and built the unit into one of the best in the league during the 2013 season. They took a step back for much of 2014, but the defense rebounded late in the year and helped pave the way to a second straight NFC South title. Prior to joining the Panthers, McDermott spent more than a decade in Philadelphia as an assistant and eventual successor at defensive coordinator to the late Jim Johnson.

There have been several reports that Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is the favorite for the Jets job, although it may be a while before things can move forward on that front. If McDermott impresses, the team may not wait to see when this year’s Seahawks run comes to an end.

Doesn't it seem a bit odd that this candidate comes out of left field on the day after we all but sew up the GM search? You gotta wonder if he is Maccagnan's choice..

No!! Carolina just lost, so he''s available.

Woody covering his bases, if he does lose out on Quinn....that's smart

This is great. Gotta keep interviewing and doing our due diligence while the Seahawks keep winning. There's no guarantee that Quinn stays with us.

Well I guess it's better to be safe than sorry, plus with the tanny in miami thing, it could get a little complicated knowing exactly what will happen with Quinn. I really like Quinn hopefully the dice roll in our favor

That's exactly right, I think Woody's consultants are making sure he's smart about this process.

McDermott is a very smart defensive Coach, his units have generally played very well.

Bowles is my choice over Quinn. I hope he nails the interview and we finalize the coaching search.

I think he might be a backup plan for Kubiak refusing to interview while they wait on Quinn and a back-up in case Quinn turns the Jets down. Not to mention it helps that he has a connection to Mccagnan in that both share the same agent.

hahahaha if the Jets unearth unknown coordinators -Lucky McWhiskey & Stumpy O'Knuckles for an interview I might start to wonder about your theory...
