Rex is getting Greg Roman as OC, as well as bringing Denis Thurman and the entire Jets defensive staff: http://boards.buffalobills.com/show...orts-Jets-DC-Dennis-Thurman-coming-to-Buffalo http://boards.buffalobills.com/showthread.php?505926-Reports-Greg-Roman-will-be-OC Jim Schwartz will be retained as Buffalo DC http://boards.buffalobills.com/showthread.php?505996-Reports-Bills-are-keeping-Schwartz-as-DC [Thanks also for the likes "Brooklyn" and "NotSatoshiNakamato", which allowed me to post links.]
OK. The fans in SF were anxious for him to leave, but he is well thought of in NFL circles. I think Schwartz will work well with Rex. It's all gonna come down to offense.
LOL!!! Revis, who at the time was arguably one of the best players in the league. Versus Rex who was an overmatched, mediocre defensive coordinator posing as an HC.
Rex had 3 interviews and got one job offer and that's pretty good. But he's probably going to change their defense back to a 3-4 after great success under Schwartz. If he's smart he leaves it alone. PS they are reportedly giving him 5 years at over 5 mil per. So if reports were true that Marrone asked for a 2-year extension at less money and was turned down. It means the Pegula's were willing to give Rex more years at more money. Kind of hard to understand after the Marrone record against Rex. 3-1 including two blow outs this season.
we are the forever cursed team in the afc east, revis goes to new england and now this... i think i quit football
the bills will be good for the next 2 years. then when its time to sign fa's they will totally overpay and suck for the next 10. but they'll be a playoff team next year
I see the Bills at tops a 9-7 in 2015. Too many coaching mistakes on the sidelines to win close games against better opponents. The assumption is Sanchez but not sure if he wants to leave the Eagles and visa versa. But he is a FA. And Rex is the coach who put him into an exhibition game when he got injured.
Lmfao. I hope Rex wins a Super Bowl. Yes I said it. Plus I would rather see Buffalo win one then the Fins or Pats.
What's the Bills GM situation like? That is the real question... A solid GM isn't going to allow the roster to take a dump...we shall see. Also, are we back to this whole 3/4 vs. 4/3 crap AGAIN????? There is no such thing as a team being primary of anything. Every single team runs all of it... If I'm a Bills fan I would be thrilled at the turn of events. As a Jets fan this makes me ill. I KNOW Rex is a better HC than our own fan base gives him credit for and he just went to a far more talented team than what we have right now. They are, literally, one player away from contending where as we are quite a few. Period. Straight up FACT...not speculation.
