wow, these constant threads on HC/GM speculations make Entertainment Tonight look like a third world television show
It Rex's fault that he didn't turn Sanchez or Smith into Tom Brady. Didn't you know it was all BB who made Brady such a great QB.
I'd like to think Geno benefits from a coaching change. He's not a F-ing west coast offense QB, he needs to be slingin that rock up the field stop making him "play like a robot"
At least he came close,It wasn't all hot air and bullshit we were 60 minutes from the Superbowl two years in a row. That's the only time in Jets history that's ever happend ....give the guy credit.I think that Rex suffered from "to much success to soon" and he was blinded by the success he had and never grew because of it
2 months ago when Everyone thought Idzik would hire Quinn everyone hated the idea because they hated Idzik. Now People are saying Quinns gonna bring us to the Superbowl.I'm not a Quinn guy but I won't be upset if that's the route we take
Woof. Looks like Doug Marrone just committed career hara-kiri Edit: autocorrect changed Doug to something less complimentary
If Dan Quinn becomes the head coach, what I'll be looking for is his ability to install discipline, and accountablity. I want him to make changes, and the tough decisions for the good of the team. Not be afraid to hurt his favorite players feelings. 4 years of coddling Mark Sanchez to be specific. For the last time, I'm sick of reading people write how the players love Rex. WHO CARES!!!??? They were 4-12. Last year, and 6-10 two years before. If Dan Qunin is a leader, gains respect of the players, and coaches the whole team we are going to be fine. It is time for a new message. I hope this guy can deliver it.
I just want a sense of organization and preparedness. I love Rex but sometimes you got the feeling he was coaching by the seat of his pants.
Exactly, and this might come across as crazy, but this may not even be as good of a defensive mind as people seem to think. He only has been a DC for 2 seasons, both of which he had probably the best defensive talent in the league. Is this guy even on anyones radar if he wasnt in Seattle? prolly not. Speaking of which, wasnt Gus Bradley another guy out of Seattle? how is that working for the Jaguars? #26 overall defense? But who knows, maybe he is the next Belichick, more likely the next Steve Spagnola, but perhaps he will be on par with Marvin Lewis's level. I guess we will find out.
The history of the NFL is littered with backups who look great coming in but when given the opportunity to actually start over a long stretch prove to be garbage. There is nothing to me that indicates he sucked this year because Shanahan was gone and not because he sucks like every other backup who did similarly before him,
