Oh, you mean Washington. The same place he took them to the playoffs and helped RG3 win offensive rookie of the year? The same place he won a HUGE bonus for taking them to the playoffs? Things fell apart because there was no talent on that team and RG3 took a HUGE shit. Lack of talent, injured QB, and a terrible coaching staff under him led to their problems.
Before we get too carried away here Mr Falco, are we talking about the Defensive genius that selected Sparano, or MM and then jammed the 1970s ground and pound BS down his throat.? As much as I liked Rex, he was so far removed from understanding or even care about the O it was dreadful. Let's not lump all DC into the same bucket please.
2009 Jets were stacked on both lines and had good to excellent players at all levels on the defense. I don't think 2015 Jets will be close to that going into the seasons but I hope I'm wrong.
Here's a little tidbit about Shanahan with Washington. The Redskins finished top 10 in total yards for the two years he was there. He has finished top 10 four times in his 6 seasons as an offensive coordinator. I think I can trust him for now.
For those disparaging Kyle Shanahan, the 2012 Redskins went over 400 yards in offense 6 times and were 5-1 in those games. They finished 4th in the NFL in points scored.
Lmfao. These same shitty coaching staff you talk about is the same ones with him during RG3 rookie of the year and made the playoffs. As for talent they had very good talent on offense. So try again.
And in Cleveland this year, in 9 of his first 11 games, they scored 21 points. They were 7-4 heading into Buffalo. He knows how to score.
Hope it is the case but one of the major things I would like to think the Jets are looking for in a HC candidate is accountability whether it be with penalties or turnovers and the ability to be a player's coach but also not give such leeway that maybe Rex gave to the players. Quinn might have sold them on him bringing each of this. I don't know if a 1st year HC and 1st year GM want to deal with Harvin's mood swings. Have to trust Quinn on that, he's seen the guy first hand at every practice to know what was right or wrong. Harvin wasn't treated as a down the field target and was more so used as a gimmick WR which Harvin never appreciated, which is why he felt a breath of fresh air in New York being treated as a number one, at least from everything I have read. He got into an physical altercation with the cocky Golden Tate and (supposedly) took himself out of the Dallas game, which became the final straw. But if the QB isn't getting it done and the team isn't winning, who knows what Harvin's demeanor becomes. I just wonder if a new HC, new OC and GM want to deal with it from the get go or not.
The biggest thing with Kyle is his impact on QBs...They somehow improve, can we get that for our QBs? I hope...
Just wait till Geno Smith is also off this team. Its going to be awesome when we get the right evaluators here.
My bad I'm only allowed to speak nice things about the Jets and agree with everything they do. Get the fuck out of here with that bullshit.
The question is, if the Jets do well on offense, will Shanahan leave to become a head coach after one season? It sounds as though his offense will take a few years for the offense to fully adapt to. Not a great formula for a rental. That also complicates the QB situation.
It's not that. You come on here spewing bullshit without knowing anything. When myself, or another member, tell you to read about someone before making claims, your response is "I don't need to." Thats the response of someone very ignorant. In your mind you've made your decison how you feel. And even if it is the more educated way, you could give a shit because you've made up your mind. There's a difference between not agreeing and just being plain ignorant. Your posts give off ignorance. Especially when you can't form a proper sentence.
