I highly recommend this book....it examines how coaches are too conservative with their decision making ..and how it literally cost them games... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Isn't going for it on 4th down as kind of a semi standard game tactic fairly recent. I don't remember coaches doing it much years ago. The guy I think who started the trend was Belichick. Of course he had a better O than D most of the time and that plus your opponents defense comes into play, too
Parcells went for it quite a bit.....matter of fact I remember games where he needed a first down to win the game ...where a lot of coaches would run the ball and maybe come up short...then punt it away...Parcells would throw for it ......but I believe you're right...it's more common now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Oh cool....I didn't know that actually. I'll have to follow him on Twitter Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Say what you will about Manish. He's right about Marrone. His take isn't much different than Lupica's. Manish isn't a reporter. He's an opinionator.
Ouch..... Report: GM Doug Whaley telling Bills candidates that Manuel’s struggles due to coaching http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...dates-that-manuels-struggles-due-to-coaching/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The Bills are starting to sound a lot like the Jets. Isn't that what they accused Idzik of doing: forcing Geno on the head coach. The thing is when EJ was benched the Bills played a lot better.
2-2 with Manuel 7-5 with Orton (Really 6-6, because NE benched their starters) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So what is your point. That Whaley is right and Marrone is a terrible coach. Based on what I heard and read the Bills season turned around after they went to Orton and that it was a good decision to bench EJ.
What im saying is the Bills were .500 with both QBs ....and an 8pt win versus a NE team that wasn't trying doesn't count.....so saying they were "better" with Orton is debatable.....the offense was 28th.... Whaley's comments mean he blames the lack of coaching on Marrone and Hacket
the Bills turned around nothing w/ the awful Orton. as I said early in the season Orton is terrible and you will never win anything w/ him. they wasted a season they could have been developing Manuel for nothing.
The Bills were in win now mode while the Jets were rebuilding. The Bills had to bench their struggling QB. Whereas with the Jets they let Geno play through mistakes because they were developing him. If our situation was similar Geno would've been benched after we went 1-3.
w/ actual talent? absolutely. Buffalo has everything besides a QB and considering you guys think Sanchez sucked and he made 2 title games w/ him when they had talent around him why wouldn't he be a shoo in?
because no one is a shoo in and Rex is a bumbling retard? He made the playoffs once in 6 years and once as a gift...Buffalo has no QB as you mentioned. Teams with no QB don't make the playoffs
