Not sure where you got ISIS from there. They aren't the only Muslim terrorist group in the world. Certainly not mentioned in the article.
Here's why Isis is involved in the conversation: "A cartoon mocking ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was tweeted by the French magazine Charlie Hebdo just an hour before two gunman burst into their offices and shot dead at least 12 people. It's not clear if the Twitter feed was hacked or if the magazine posted it themselves, but it wished him "good health and best wishes"."
Well, the bad news with that theory is that it takes more than an hour to plan this kind of thing and pull it off. The thing I find interesting with this case and the hostage taking in Australia is that both the French and Australian governments claim that they have managed to stop numerous terrorists attacks in recent months. Australia had been doing raids all year stopping terrorist cells. If I was a betting man, I'd bet that this has been going on in America too but the American government is not releasing information on shutting down terrorist cells.
Terrible news, just terrible. Heard we are supplying Iraq with weapons again too (tanks, humvees, helicopters, etc.). Seems pretty stupid considering what happened the last time we armed them. Free equipment for IsIs.
This wasn't an elaborate plan where they had to do dry runs to test security. They stormed a building with weaponry, killed a bunch of people and fled in a car. There is nothing about what we know so far that requires in depth planning and couldn't have been undertaken on an Islamic whim.
Your kidding yourself if you think these attacks are planned on a whim. This newspaper is known for being anti-Islamic. They've probably been targeted for a while.
From everything I've heard, this was a well executed assault with a planned exit route in place. These guys weren't your run of the mill Muslim maniacs but instead, highly trained and sadly, highly efficient killers. The French will have their hands full with this one and any follow on attacks that are sure to come.
The paper targeted all religions from what I heard in the morning and received constant warnings. I guess ISIS or whoever in charge wasn't bluffing. Sent from my LG-LS720 using Tapatalk
I'm starting to think it's all a game. The only solution I think is to leave these people alone but the US tends to never learn from history or just don't care. The new toys will be stolen again and conflict in that area WILL happen again, we'll be busy to solve the problem wasting billions, etc etc. Sent from my LG-LS720 using Tapatalk
They reportedly switch cars while getting away. This was planned for a while. They are still running free as of this posting too. Sent from my LG-LS720 using Tapatalk
Two things: Wow those guns are loud and the second thing is the streets are pretty damn empty for a wednesday afternoon. These guys looked like they did this before. They didnt seem to panic and just smoothly drove off.
I'm sure leaving them alone to plot against us and go around, massacring civilians for fun definitely won't come back to bite in the ass. There's no way ignoring the people who want to kill every last Westerner to plot our destruction will work out badly.

As a Muslim I feel shame and anger. I hope these attackers are tortured and then hanged right in front of Eifel Tower. Sometimes too much democracy isn't a good thing for animals like these. God bless the souls of all victims.
Brook, it would seem that Islam is at a crossroads. As long as there are Muslims like yourself that can co-exist with other faiths, there's still hope for peace in the future.
