Just saw an article that Browns OC Kyle Shanahan is down on the Browns, and considering his options elsewhere....of course he is the son of Mike Shanahan, and an offensive guy, so those things may interest the Jets I'm thinking... http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...-soured-cleveland-browns-friction-report-said
One thing in his favor....he has a history of getting the most out of mediocre QBs. He helped RG3 and Matt Schaub play their best ball under him. He might do wonders for Geno Smith. (and don't mention Manziel...he's a colossal bust and was an epic failure this year). He also had some success with Hoyer in Cleveland and the team won a lot of games with him under center.
I'm a little surprised we haven't hired a GM or coach yet. Maybe they are still lining up more interviews?
He's a really bad playcaller. I don't get why he's in such hot pursuit. I guess if you want Mike, Kyle will have to be apart of the package since Mike Shanahan will give his son anything and everything as far as a job goes but I don't get why people want him.
What good is gonna come from interviewing a guy who has zero chance to land the job,Id leave this stone unturned if I'm the Jets
Why do you say he has "zero chance to land the job"? I'd say he has a better chance than Tom Cable, who they already interviewed.
Tom Cable has a better chance at winning the lotto while being struck by lighting then being the next coach of any NFL team.So yea Shannahan has a chance just not with the Jets I don't think
Mike or Kyle, one or the other but not both together. But I still think Mike is a prick for pretty much ruining RG3's career.
I wouldn't mind him as our OC but as a head coach? What has he done to deserve a head coaching job?I Think its way to early for him to be a head coach ,he's still in his fathers shadow, and if we hire him and Mike Shannahan doesn't get a job he's gonna be hovering over the franchise behind the scenes
There no appealing candidates, it's ironic the guy we fired is the most sought after... That's jet life for you. Lol
That's great and all but that just shows you how many question marks there are to every candidate,if there was an obvious choiceit would have happens by now.We interivew Bowles and Reich and that's it for now unless the Ravens get elimanated and we still want to interview "Gary Not A Real Head Coach Kubaik"
HAHA stupid fans don't know what we lost till he's gone......so sad. Have fun watching Rex win multiple Super Bowls with a real franchise.
