This guy will be dropping wayyyy past us at 6.

After the interview process it wouldn't shock me if he's available when we pick in the 2nd.

That's exactly why. If he gets taken before us, it allows talent to fall to us. Talent that otherwise would have been drafted in his place.

Personally I would take Winston if he gets to us at the 6, but either way the more talent that declares the better. It's simple logic.

I love how literally no one knows where he will end up.

Some people think he will be drafted first overall. Others think he will last till the 2nd round.

It'll be quite an interesting draft.

Bucs may take him at #1 in my opinion...to even suggest he gets taken in the 2nd is comical.....unless he gets arrested for something, if he stays out of trouble he easily goes top 10 and most likely in the top 5, we would be VERY VERY lucky if hes still there at 6.

If he's there at 6 he better be a Jet.

I love how all those "reports" yesterday of him staying in school were BS though

    Drop to 6 ya bastard!!!!

God it would be so fuckin epic if he drops to 6, we take him, and he's an absolute stud. Not only would we finally have our guy, but almost this entire board would look like fools lol

Yeah because he's already proven himself exactly. Can't miss prospect and everything.

Outside of the quoted post - this is an excellent for the Jets.

I hope he's gone before our pick, just means another good pick will be available for us. Not sold on this guy at all.

No question JW is physically ready to play in the NFL, he's played in a NFL System.
I still have major concerns of his maturity level, it's a red flag. The next few months will be important if he does well in interviews and stays clean, I don't think he will last to #6.

JW coming out is great for the Jets even if he goes 1-5, another solid player will fall to us

Hypothetically, Winston stays clean, does well in the Jets interview. If he's there on the 6 along with Cooper - you going to take the chance with Winston? At first, I wouldn't draft him under any circumstance in the first round, but I think that's changed over the course of the yr. I know you can't stand the guy, but it appears you may have lighten up on Winston.

You make it sound like him not getting into trouble from now until the draft is unlikely.

This dude is way too much of a risk for a team to spend a top 10 pick on. Imagine being a coach, owner or GM and having to worry about what your QB is doing on a Friday night and who he's hanging around with.

That sounds like a fun couple of years for Jet fans.

I realize pure talent and he has it. I'm not 100% convinced I would take him over Cooper. It all depends on who is the Coach/GM. I think a player like JW would fail under Rex Ryan, we need a no nonsense Offensive Coach that would keep him grounded.

    Great news for two reasons.

    1. He has a great interview process and combine and stays out of trouble, he will go top 5. Giving us more talent to pick from.

    2. We pick him, competes with Geno in the offseason and we see what happens.

It's really not as comical as you seem to think. The guy hasn't impressed on the field, nor off this year. He's extremely talented, no doubt, but this is the possible face of a franchise we're talking about.
