For those who don't know,Michael Kay went to school with Doug Marrone so take his hate for Manishs bashing with a grain of salt

You are missing the point. Kay has said he is not sure how good a coach Marrone will be with Jets. He was just proving how unfair, personal, one sided and over the top Womanish Mehta has been.

Admirable take by Kay. Mehta is the worst in the business. Piece of shit probably couldn't even tell you what Cover 2 is.

I'm in the diminishing pro-Marrone camp and thought Manish handled himself quite nicely in the lion's den that was Kay and La Greca.

I haven't listened to this yet (I basically never listen to Kay and La Greca), but I'm glad they didn't kiss his ass while making Marrone out to be Rich Kotite 2.0 for 10 minutes like Joe and Evan did the other day.

Thank God its only sports because Mehta is one of the most dangerous writers I have ever seen in my life. His use of people hiding behind the ole "didnt want his name mentioned" is record breaking. Again..its sports...but in the real world he would be dangerous and its just a matter of time the truth about this guy will come out...because its physically impossible to have the amount of SOURCES this guy has in the short amount of time he has been around. The players act as if they dont even know him.

Dangerous dude..and of course...we get him as Jet fans. What he has done to Marrone is despicable.

I listen to others outside of Mehta who've said the same things about Marrone. Jeremy White WGR, Howard Simon WGR, Tim Graham, Bob Cussalo ....there's many a happy player in Buffalo now...after a "winning" season.....but, they must all be full of shit....not Michael Kay, Rich Cimini, or Adam Schien....those guys have no agenda...oh wait....they do.

He said on the show, he was friends with him from age 12-25, after that communication was miniscule at best.

You are worse the Mehta...you say they are buddies and then you say you think they both went to Fordham. Duh...of course they all have an agenda but nobody hides behind quotes the way Mehta does...how he even still has that job is mind boggling.

He didn't run BB out of town. That whole fiasco with Belichicken writing his resignation on a paper napkin was because of the transition of ownership that left the whole franchise in a turmoil as to who was the one to carry the Jet torch after Parcels had left as HC. You can blame
    Woody Johnson for that mess.

Fyi last year Chris Christie called Mehta a dope and an idiot. I'm sure Mehta put that in his trophy case.

I KNEW that three of you are the ones who would defend the most anti-Jets, blatantly biased reporter in NY media history.

Not defending Manish because I like him.....I'm defending what he wrote...even Thurman Thomas did a sarcastic retweet of the "marrone didn't interview well"..... This isn't shit Manish is making up....

The fiasco with Belichik is on two people: Bill Parcells and Bill Belichik. They had an uneasy relationship from the moment Parcells brought Belichik with him in '97 to be the Jet's DC. Belichik needed the credibility Parcells offered after the mess in Cleveland but he really didn't want to be a DC. He wanted to run a team again and that's the carrot that Parcells dangled in front of him with the Assistant HC/DC positions both with the Pats and then the Jets.

When Belichik realized that he was still going to be reporting to Parcells after assuming the HC job in NY he started to look for outs. He wanted to run a team not be second in command again. That's where Kraft and the Patriots got their opportunity. They were willing to make Belichik the undisputed #1 on the football side in the Pats organization.

Belichik bolted because he wanted his own show and he was just going to be the ringmaster in Parcell's show with the Jets.

I didn't go to school with Doug. Marrone and I think the reporter was very personal in his attacks. He is a disgrace to his profession.

No, he is not making it up. What he is doing is fishing and typing quotes that support his PRECONCEIVED notion. And ONLY THOSE QUOTES. This is the very definition of bias.

I'm sure you didn't bother listening to the actual interview, so let me help you.
He was asked directly: how come you said nothing about Mawae's and Parcelle's opinion, but went out of your way to quote Syracuse coach?
Seriously, explain how a journalist can completely ignore opinion of probably most talked about coach and a HOF player of the team he assigned to cover? Mehta doesn't have to agree with those opinions, but to not even mention them, even in a negative light?

His response was the same as yours..."I didn't lie". Sure he didn't lie, he just committed the lie of omission, no biggy.

I honestly believe Parcells, knowing that Belichik was on Bob Kraft's radar, retired earlier than he wanted to to try and prevent it....ultimately it didn't work...Parcells despised Kraft...and the feeling was Mutual...this was the seed of what is now the Jets biggest rival....move over Miami
