Were the referees, in 2001, being biased for the Patriots when they called it in the Oakland game and against the Patriots when they called it in the Jets game?

 

it was a dumb rule but the proper call. most people didn't understand it at the time(including myself) but that rule has benefitted us many times through the years just not in a game that big.

 

I disagree there, I know the play you are talking about as I saw a clip somewhat recently and the plays were not the same. Either way the proper call was made in the playoffs.
