Being the GM in a market like NY is to much pressure for a lot of guys,it takes a certain kind of guy to be able to do his job to a high level and deal with the always burning media firestorm when things aren't going well.I thought Mr .T was a good GM until we sent him on his way,if people are gonnna give Rex credit for two afc title games then you have to give MR T credit to.We shouldn't have fired him, what orginization fires two GMs in less then three years? When you look at the winning franchises in the league they all have one thing in common ...stability .Look at the Giants they haven't made the playoffs in three years and it looked like Coughlins days were numbered but they disnt react to outside pressure and they decided to keep it together.I don't like how Woody reacts to outside pressure ,since Rex was hired there has been a firing or major position change every year ,not to mention Sanchez was run out of town along with Revis

If I'm the owner and I know the value of my franchise is teetering, PSL sales are shit, PSL holders are pissed, PSL secondary market is at or just below 50% of original value at best and there is a TON of cap space that needs to be spent wisely I'm not giving the keys to the franchise to any GM regardless of pedigree. That doesn't mean Woody won't royally screw it up himself (he likely will) but he needs to be the ultimate guy that gives out a budget or the one that reviews the GM's proposed budget, plan etc. and approves it.

Based on what we've seen so far from possible candidates I'm not impressed at all with the job his consultants are doing. It was apparent from his year-end interview he's completely clueless. You could see right through his BS trying to show everyone that he's in the know, his stupid example of "quick feet" was clearly plagiarized from him overhearing a conversation between Rex and Idiot. He doesn't have a clue what they were discussing, only that they disagreed, thus the stupid smirk. He'll take advice from anyone because he's just a combination of the scarecrow from the wizard of oz and a leprechan sitting on a pot of gold. Tell me since he's taken over the team when he's shown any business sense at all, let alone football sense? We better hope that people he trusts have common sense and business sense and have told him there is too much at stake this time, too much money to spend that will set the team back for years if not a decade or more if its not spent wisely. Tanny's cap hell could be a blessing compared to what may happen with the wrong hire at GM.

As for the coaching candidates.. I'm beginning to think a competent GM will say the best candidate for coach is.... Rex! lol

If Woody hires a coach before a GM he deserves to have this franchise collapse to the point where he sells to an owner with a brain.

I'd take Graves over the 6th GM option that we'll end up with.

That kind of defeats the purpose of cleaning house, doesn't it? I don't want another half assed house cleaning. If they're going to do it, go all the way.

If they can't get the candidates they want why get someone they really don't want? Graves is already in house you can promote him. Better that than to take a subpar candidate.

That reminds me.. why hasn't Woody already outright fired Bradway? I know scouting contracts run through the draft to ensure continuity even if there is a coaching / GM change but clearly this guy is more at fault than either Rex or Idiot. Keep the underlings to scout until a GM can come in and fill slots but Bradway should not ever be allowed to collect a paycheck from the Jets again imho.
