    Hearing reports that Marrone is no longer in consideration for the Jets job.

    You guys dodged a bullet.

    Not because he is a bad coach, but I honestly think you can do better.

    Good news if true. Not that I think the other candidates are something special but I don't want to hire a quitter.

    There was no way he could make it in NY--he'd be coming in with half the press corp on his ass from day 1 and he couldn't handle Buffalo media. Otherwise, I would be fine with him.

    How in the world does anyone know this? If thete are 3 guys running around the U.S. interviewing these coaches, which one of the 3 guys is Mortenssen getting the info from? I can't belive this right now.

    Apparently Mort said somewhere Quinn was the favorite and Marrone has little to no chance. I'm searching for more but I hope it's true. Marrone had his agents/Syracuse media connections pushing him big time but not far enough I guess.

    I'm sure we will see Him bring the Bears to back to back Superbowls or where ever he ends up.That's the life of a Jet fan ,I don't want Marronne but id take him over the crop of scrubs.I've heard zero reports that he is out of the running by the way,Espn just posted an article 5 hours ago saying he is at the top of our list....throw this thread in the shit pile

    You've never left a job for a better opportunity? I guess you still have the same job you landed when you were 16.

    Or you are a quitter? the question is why you would begrudge someone for doing the same thing you have done? Are you so guilt ridden by being a quitter that criticizing Marrone for doing so helps you pretend that you aren't angry at yourself for being a quitter?

    Have you ever spoken to any of them? Do you have any ideas of the qualities it takes to be a successful head coach that these guys clearly do not possess?
