Interestingly enough the 2 times they hosted Carolina they were over 30K. they must have played 'Nova at least 30 times at the dome.
Well, it all goes back to what I said... The Draw. Villanova was irrelevant for most of the early 90's as well as the early 2000's when they transitioned from Lappas to Wright. I'm not sure Carolina would have drawn 30K if they played during the latter half of the Dogherty era.

Carolina blew one last night, they played awful most of the game but had a great shot to win and missed about 5-6 shots in the final minute and lost by 1. Frustrating as they were playing well entering this game. No time to pout with Louisville in town on Saturday.
Completely Demolished your argument by: 1) Clearly demonstrating that Villanova CAN draw a huge crowd, as they did so by drawing 30,000+ six times at the Carrier Dome. 2) Defeating your counter argument that if Rutgers can draw 30,000+ at the Carrier Dome, anyone can by highlighting it that it was Carmello Anthony's last game, which was the real reason for the crowd.
