Whatever makes Sanchez not sound like he sucks . . . that's the rule.

Edit: Otherwise, you're an average fan.

"Either way he had a better team against a non-great team. Got to find a way to win." nyjunc, would you agree with these words?

he did make him a priority, that's a fact. He has decisions to make. does he prefer the younger Foles? or will he re-sign Mark. Mark will be a starter so he's not going to go back there as a backup and if he prefers Foles he will likely move on.

winning is #1 but when you are averaging almost 30 PPG how can you bash the QB? our D was not allowing 10 PPG which would be the equivalent of what he was leading their O to. We were led by our D but Mark was a vital part of our success which is something lost on most Jet fans which is why we deserve the 2014 season.

You've always referred to any stats other than win loss as fantasy stats....lol, this is an example of you distorting information, yes the Panthers are a playoff team....they were also a god awful team that only made the playoffs by being in a sub .500 division.

The Eagles were essentially 2 games up with 4 games left in the season since they owned the tiebreaker with the Cowboys, since you credit QB's with wins and losses he could have put the cowboys to bed and out of it with a 2nd win against the Cowboys.failed. In fact I could make an argument that the only reason 'he' beat the cowboys on Thanksgiving was he was playing a QB who was recently off of back surgery on a short week where he didn't take his back injection before the game.
The reality is when the Eagles needed Mark to step up he didn't. He was off mark, he was often high and to the right on his passes, late with his passes. He also threw fewer deep passes beyond 10 yards than Foles had done, lack of faith by the coaching staff?

I never said Mark was great but he did his job as well as could have been expected. Hard to win when your D can't stop anyone. is it fair to expect any QB to have to score 30+ PPG to win? Mark is a quality starter but obviously not a great one, the expectations you guys place on him are silly.

Regardless of what he had on offense and/or defense, Sanchez was 4-2 on the road in the playoffs. He has the 3rd highest QB rating EVER for all playoff performances.

I'm not saying he's a great or even good QB, I'm saying when the chips were down for us in the playoffs his game rose.

Check out all the QB's who throughout their careers fall flat on the big stage -- Andy Dalton, anyone ?? -- and that has to count for something.

god awful and playing in the div rd this weekend. I'd take it.

brought his team back from 21-0 down vs. Dallas then D allowed long TD drive.

the reality is he elevated that offense against better teams.

The same way you bashed the Defense in 09 and 10 for losses while allowing fewer than 15 PPG. When it counted Sanchez led offense didn't put up the points. And while you are again bashing a teams defense you might want to consider how many of those PPG came off of short fields, turnovers, and special teams play. You talk like an agent.

He's going to go with the best quarterback available to him . . . and something tells me that he's not going to think that guy is Sanchez. And then, a year from now, you will be on this message board frantically defending Sanchez's tenure with both the Jets and Eagles . . . despite the fact that both teams ultimately decided to move on from your hero.

And would the team have been down 21 points if Sanchez had played decently in the first half? Or did he get back in against a team that was playing loose defenses and get a couple of really big plays off of screen passes and runs?

Context is everything Junk, and the game ending interception that killed any chance of a full comeback? oh that's right it's all about the fumble AFTER the pick that allowed points....forgot, it's the all pro tight ends fault and not the turnover machine that always has been Sanchez.

I didn't bash the D, discussed them realistically. they were talked about on here like they were the '85 Bears. we had a very good D but far from great. w/ that said they were still the driving force on those teams but even truly great D's need quality QB play and that not great D got quality QB play or we don't get anywhere near a title game.

we'll see. Philly definitely wants him back, in what role I don't know but I know for a fact the organization was happy w/ his play overall.

how did it work out when his first team decided to move on?

he wasn't turning it over, they couldn't run, he made some poor plays, had some drops. many things contributed to it.

after the INT they got the ball back and scored to make it a one score game, got it back again in 1 score game and TE fumbled but it was all Mark's fault.

No, I said they were a top 5 defense in those years, and they were. I never compared them to being an all time great defense, but they were great defenses in those two years....Red herring argument Junk and you know it.

for the other 30+ pts were they all off Mark picks? did the D have to allow a TD? it's not like Dallas got the ball at the Philly 1 yd line.

And this is based on actual sources? A dream you had? A combination of the two?

Unless your argument is that getting rid of Sanchez is the reason we collapsed (which would be rather silly, even for you), this is a meaningless deflection.

And regardless, in 1-2 years, you are still going to be defending a guy who was dumped by two different teams. The reality that you aren't comprehending is that Sanchez is bound to be a journeyman NFL quarterback. He'll play when guys get hurt and he'll be brought in to compete when a team has no tenured starter. He's not someone anyone is ever going to be looking to bring in as the future. He's a young Kyle Orton. He's mediocre. And no amount of delusional ball-washing will ever change that verity.

one of the reasons we sucked was b/c we got rid of Mark. we would have been a playoff team w/ him in 2013 and a competent team w/ him in 2014.
