Geeze let it go already. Idzick is gone (thank heavens). Move on and root for the new GM whoever he is. I never liked the Idzick signing but I was rooting for him to succeed and the same could be said for Geno. Idzick failed and he is gone and Geno just might go also. If he stays I hope he has learned to read D's and stop doing the same dumb azz tactics over and over. Not a betting man but I wouldn't put my eggs in Geno's basket. Rex is gone also so be it,, Let's go JETS..
Where is the proof of that. Obviously the Jets didn't think so. Or they wouldn't have selected him then. Maybe people with the Jets knew otherwise. We'll see over the next two years if he was worth it. A 3rd round corner isn't supposed to be a shut down corner. It's a guy who makes the team and plays and sometimes starts. Anything over that is gravy.
You think and you criticize but you don't know. It could be the Ravens or some team would have selected him later in the 3rd round. I assume they would have or the Jets wouldn't have taken him that high. We'll see if he was worth it.
So if he drafts Dbs you say he didn't get receivers. And if he signs the best FA Wr you kill him for not getting a corner. And if he saves cap space to sign his best D players you call him cheap. And if he doesn't have money left to re-sign Wilk, etc you'd call him a moron. So if he can't do it all in one year: Fire him! (idiots)
I was pounding the table for Moncrief when we picked McDougle. Moncrief looked pretty good helping the Colts to advance to the next round of the playoffs.
I was apprehensive about the Idzik signing for two reasons. One was that it was reasonably apparent that the requirement a new GM accept Ryan greatly narrowed the candidates who were willing to take the job, with Idzik not being on the first, and preferred, list. Second was the reputation he had of not being a personnel guy. So of course I was hoping he would succeed anyway, but there were reasons to doubt he would pretty early on.
I loved the hiring was all for it... happy to admit I was 10000% wrong...though my draft would've included Jarvis Landry, Bryant and or Cooks
2 years is not a reasonable sample size. Plus not all of the talent was from Idzik. We were in a remake. That takes time. Did you really think we were going to the playoffs in 2014. But we had better talent than a 4-12. So whose fault. Idzik or the coach or both. Or neither. It's not always somebody's fault esp in a rebuild.
Both fault that's why I was on board of both being fired. I thought rex should have been fired when we got a new GM
his drafts were terrible, he was gunshy in free agency and he left gaping holes on the roster. really? dude he sucked. the only thing he was good at was making trades.
makes no sense....so bc rex got 6 years under very difference circumstances we should have stood by a guy who quickly showed he was taking the team backwards?
