Too many people forget win-loss is a team statistic, not a QB statistic. Do people really believe some of these QBs couldn't win a playoff game by only throwing for 100 yards? (Sanchez against SD)
Cowboys let the Lions get too many quick yards on the check down to start the drive. Cowboys offense needs to pick up this defense coming out of the half.
Need Lions to make a mistake, so far they havent made a big mistake. It would have been nice if Dallas had gotten that Int but at least they held em to a FG....
In a lot of ways they are although the Pats and Colts never had a ground game like Dallas had this season.
Garrett would never call that. It would be brilliant, but he is not that type of coach to take those unconventional risks
Hmm interesting. I think overall yeah, strong offense hides weaker defense. But a thing they probably have over Colts/Pats teams is that they have a strong, established run game and a strong OL. The more recent Colts and Pats teams were weaker in those areas, in my opinion. But the QB skill made up for that in the regular season
Yeah I know, he would get killed if it didnt work. But honestly the Dallas offense is in trouble, the defense is not that great of a defense. They need a huge play so they can either wait for their defense to get a huge play OR they can try to force one on special teams.
They need something big to turn the tide. I'm not sure how much they can hang their hat on the long TD pass as it won't be duplicated in the 2nd half. Stafford throwing an INT might be the only way for them to win.
The D wasnt built to carry the team. The run game has kept the D off the field, made it easier for em. Dallas cant run the ball, cant protect Romo, its putting the pressure on the D to hold the fort together. Everything on the Lions offense is working.
Yeah it was a really bad omen in retrospect. I'm not sure who won the toss and if Dallas wanted it to establish a tone or if Detroit won and deferred. Either way, the 3 and out was a very troubling early sign
