Sounds like a little tampering went down for sure but what team, all signs point to the Jets but maybe another team has him in their sights.
Just because he didn't want to trade for Watkins doesn't make him a capable head coach. Most of the people on this forum and probably a large contingent of Bills fans wouldn't have made the trade either, doesn't mean any of them should be strapping on a headset.

There were reports of the Jets interest on Sunday Night Football. Marrone opted out Monday night. My guess is they would simply have to track down the sources for that SNF report and backtrack.
If this is true it completely changes the story. I don't love Marrone. But he's a legit NFL head coach. If Jets tampering: we could get hit with 2 of them in addition to Woody's Mevis tampering remarks last Monday. 2 in a week. What an organization.
I'm not sure why we'd tamper with a coach who has a career coaching record below .500 but whatever were the Jets.

Look these things are done all of the time. There are lines of communication, etc. Marrone's agent is Jimmy Sexton whose has done business with the Jets; for one he's Tebow's agent. I also read that Rex told his Asst coaches next stop Atlanta. Not sure how true it is but Rex knows their GM and Asst GM (Pioli) and there could have been phone calls. The thing is you don't get caught or leave evidence. One thing Idzik would never have done.
Bills probably leaked the info. Which means they're setting up a case to bring to the commissioner on charges of tampering. You know they're building up a case and gathering evidence as we speak. 1st round pick if they can prove it. A high 1st round pick too.
