This hatred is coming from Buffalo. And I'm suspicious if it. Your region is basically a minor league town with a chip on it's shoulder. Don't even try comparing yourself to the Big Apple. And the least desirable market in the NFL So can you blame Marrone for wanting come to the big time.

I would take the Bills players comments with a grain of salt. They just had their first winning season in a very long time, missed the playoffs, lost the only "good" QB on the roster, have no 1st round pick, and the coach just quit.

The Jets might be in a transition phase right now with a new GM and HC coming in but at least there is the possibility of success. Those players know they're screwed.

Just curious if anyone thinks that his reputation for not being a players coach or a young Coughlin type coach coupled with the fact that he "abandoned" his team effect how free agents will consider us in a close decision between multiple teams?
Some have claimed Rex was a good coach to have in order to lure FA in the past so I guess we will find out real quick what the difference will be not having a players coach in Marrone if he is our guy.

I don't think its a concern. 90+% of the time a free agent chooses a team it's because of money.

The perception about players lured to the jets by Rex was proven a myth, year in and year out when players went elsewhere under asshole or dumb coaches for $$

No player would look at marrone leaving buffalo and not want to play for him because of it. That would be like question #97 they would ask in the courting period. Number 1 would be "how much are you offering"

A couple players saying he was a good line coach a decade ago is good enough for you?

    Wowzers.

    Hopefully Woody has higher expectations.

I agree for the most part, obviously money is the main factor aside from a veteran wanting a ring. On the other hand if I am a player looking at two teams offering the same money my very next deciding factor besides mainly location is who the coach is. I've turned down positions offered because I didn't like the guy I was going to be working under.
    Just saying

    It is?

Facts, and stats, such as Marrone's crap record are living in Buffalo now?

It's hilarious watching people think Marrone is this amazing coach.

Secondly, you keep talking about the CITY. Who cares? This is about football teams. Not the cities that they play 30 mins from.

PCL thinks he is a God send.

This is one of the situations where you just scratch your head and wonder how in the blue hell does anyone seriously want this guy. I cant even begin to express my confusion with some of the views on this guy.

    Mind Blown.

He compares to belichick because he quit on his current team to leave for a division rival - not because he compares to the HOF coach that belichick became. How dumb are you?
