He did say that at his presser. I don't think he fired Idzik because of the fans. Esp those jerks with the airplane. They were a non factor. It was probably a combination of a terrible losing season, the media and maybe negative feedback he got from other people in the NFL. And of course Idzik's embarrasing presser which was the final straw. The guy was not incompetent.

It was a complete non-factor. And represented just a small percentage of the fans. This happens all the time in different cities. Even years ago with the Giants when they really sucked.

I agree. Obviously that wasn't the main reason and he would never admit it but you know it's gone too far and beyond bizarre when planes demanding change are circling the workplace. Taking this into next year and the drop of PSL's would've been even worse. While they may be "idiots" or "maniacs" or "embarrassing" I can't deny that they helped get Idzik fired nor can I say he wouldn't have been fired anyway.

Mehta's already said that he has it in for Marrone because he left Syracuse, Mehta's alma mater. To Marrone: I wouldn't give him shit.
The only reason Marrone is praised to be such a "great coach" is because of the Syracuse grads in the media. Mehta is the only one speaking the truth. Can't believe I just said that..
