I'm not in the inner circle of NEP if that's what you mean. So I'm speculating as all of us are. But I'm sure if you asked BB whose the boss. He will say Bob Kraft. BB runs football operations. But Kraft is in control of the purse strings.
I just wasn't sure if maybe you had interned there or something and actually knew them personally, and then if so, I was going to ask why you switched to being a Jets fan. But I gotcha, you're just a regular Jets fan like me an everyone else here. Kraft is in charge of writing checks and collecting the money. But Belichick is in charge of deciding who those checks are made out to and for how much. As the owner, Kraft could fire him or go Jerry Jones and become the GM, but he doesn't want to do that, so it's sort of a moot point that theoretically he could.
I agree, Idzik's moves are hard to defend when it comes to who he chose to draft as the QB. As to him playing, that should have been Ryan's decision but the media has repeatedly said that they think it was Idzik.
They have a budget and a philosophy. Belichick can't just spend whatever he wants. How do I know that. I don't. Just putting 2 and 2 together and based on what I read including the Halbestam bio on BB and a few TV bio pics. I respect their org but despise the team.
But Woody has only owned the Jets for 14 or so years. I think he simply asked for help and the league sent over two guys with a modicum of success at the GM level. And this "career failure" has a SB ring. I guess I generally of I'm sure getting to hate him, the more you faint praise him: "oh, cut two contracts.." "oh, he traded a 4th rounder for Chris Ivory..." "he got a raw deal because the owner fired his 12-20 ass" c'mon man, he's weak...
So you're 100 % sure that in 2 years everything was his fault. And no blame at all for that fat ass clown of a head coach we just dumped.
I hope he takes the Bills job. Love to see him and his predictable defense twice a year in the AFC East.
oh geez, the "you hate Idzik and love Ryan" argument. Newsflash: they BOTH were fired...for cause. How long do you figure you'll be crying about Idzik? A week? A month? A year?
Ok. My comments about Rex are kind of stupid. I went overboard even though I dislike the guy. He deserves more respect than that. And so does Idzik who did not blow up this team.
I don't think he deserves a job even with them. But I guess what you're saying is we should fear the Bills if they hire Rex. Oh, I'm really scared. Bring it on. Rex vs Marrone. I'd take that matchup. So scared.
Lol if you think Rex's defense was predictable thats hilarious considering our scheme is based on muddy coverages and muddy fronts, ask Tom Brady this year how predictable our D was with no secondary.
I am happy Idzik was fired. I don't give him a lot of credit for fixing the Jets cap because the players he cut were no-brainer moves. Then he says that he wants to build the team through the draft, but he didn't draft well.
Please we barely lost and dominated a few of those games, you put WAY too much blame on coaching and scheme, Seattle plays one of the simplest schemes on D you will ever see, the shit is madden level simple yet they dominate because of how great their personnel is. You can spray febreeze on shit all you want the smell will still come through eventually.
What sealed Idzik's fate was letting Cromartie go and failing to bring back Revis, who has the rival Pats' defense back to elite super bowl form. And he could have had a number of other good CBs if he just couldn't deal with Revis' agent... But imagine if we held onto Cro and signed Revis this offseason? We would have been a playoff team for sure. Ironically, we would have been better off with Tannenbaum!
