it would be acceptable. as long as its not an entirely different helmet you can remove or add stickers or face masks as you please. 1968 throwback? acceptable and doable since its the same color. 80's throwback? unfortunately not allowed, the helmet is green...
I believe but im not 100% sure you can have throwback helmets as long as the same helmet is used and the main colors are the same. So our 80's Green helmet can not be used. But your version in your avatar could. That said I cant see why an alternate would be of a new design. And I like the green pants. I think the all white uni is boring. White Jerseys with green pants is cool. And All green is cool too. Too much boring white otherwise.
I definitely don't want the colors to change. Adding some gray or black I wouldn't mind, but got to keep the green and white. I would like to see an actual Jet incorporated with team logo and uniforms again. I mean after all, it is the team name. I'm still a fan of this design. Maybe less black and more white. Maybe something added to the pants. But I like it.
Horrendous, cheap, and god awful. Looks like an arena league team or a desperate college team that resorts to having stupid hipster uniforms to try and attract recruits.. This whole trend towards wacky uniforms will fall out of favor. The worst thing the Jets could do is try and join the crowd of fashion fabs right now when they will just go back to the classics they have now in 5/10 years when people laugh at these eyesores. This trend reminds me of the 1990s when Nike and Reebok were competing for worst looking, wacky shit and teams/schools were latching on. The classics will never fall out of favor and the Jets' uniforms are classics as is.
I like the uniforms. I think they could experiment with a diff shade of green but nothing radically different. I don't know what you can change without going too far. Maybe they could invert the helmet? Make it all green with a white oval? Speaking of helmets one thing they could do is go with a matte finish! Or mimic the finish of the packers and dolphins where it looks like it's got... Idk what to call it not glitter but not a smooth glossy look
I wouldn't mind some black and green uni's with a flat (matte) green helmet. Keep the same logo's though.
There's no reason to change. I love our Uni's. It's a great classic look. I do agree with getting rid of the green pants
I'd prefer a lighter shade of green. Everything else is fine. I'd like to see the Kelly Greens as alternates, though. That'd be sweet
I get that they won't let teams use a different helmet----but surely the technology exists to make a decal that covers the whole helmet to make it look like it's a different color. I mean companies put those wraps on cars so the whole vehicle looks like a potato chip bag, and you're telling me we can't make a sticker that covers a whole football helmet?
I do like that design except for the players number. I love the black helmets and the idea of adding black to our green and white colors. Although the black uniform would have gone much better with Rex's style of defense and ground and pound.
