The thing is you're going to get an assistant or Dir of Player Personnel even though we're a New York team. Unless we go with Graves. The "Dream Team" has its own agenda and its name is Marrone. Just forget about the Jets hiring the best candidate but instead, the candidate with the right connections.
Nobody is going to want to come in here for a real rebuild at this point. There's no patience in the fan base and the media is going to cause constant trouble during the process. I expect the Jets will hire a strong coach and have the GM in more of a caddy role. That will at least stop the garbage stories about the HC and GM being on different time frames.
Turd Chute Mehta will be ripping whoever is the next HC just because there will be no juicy quotes and the stories will no longer write themselves. The media and the dipshits who bought the billboard makes this place seem like the worst job in the league, I bet.
