Rose Bowl : Mariota vs Winston

The Raiders gave up 52 points to the Rams in 5 minutes it felt like. There are some great defensive prospects out there. I don't see how they don't go defense when all their youth is on the offensive side of the ball. But I bet they're gonna trade out because someone's going to be desperate here between us, Tennessee and Tampa. Who's going to pay the king's ransom?

 

The Raiders also need a WR desperately. I bet they end up getting Amari Cooper if he's there at their pick.

 

They have talented youth there. Not Amari Cooper but I think they have bigger needs. I wouldn't fault them for that pick though. And besides, I forgot that they won last week so now aren't they 5th?

 

They are indeed. I can't remember the order exactly, but I think it's something like TB, JAX, TEN, NYJ, & OAK as of now.

 

That is correct. Obviously it will change a lot, seeing as how all 5 are 2-11.

 

Exactly, the draft order is far from being set. Us vs TEN this weekend, and JAX vs TEN next week will determine a lot though.

Mariota is going to have a monster game cause FSU has more talent on the field.

 

If either of these guys are on the board when we draft I think we have to take the chance. Ive also been leaning Winston over Mariota lately..... He has proved time and time again he has thick skin, and can play from behind, in a big spot. Have to take it into consideration.

Mariota looks horrendous, doesn't make or attempt NFL throws, has been sailing balls in this game too. He is a major major project based on this game. Team would be better off with Geno in year 3 than having to develop a guy who is just not coming from a system that has prepared him for the NFL

 

Thank goodness talent evaluators don't make decisions on a player based on just one quarter of one game.

That was an NFL throw by Winston. Excellent pass down the seams, but thus far both Quarterbacks have been medicore.
