    Nothing.
He would certainly have gotten his extension next year assuming the team, and more particularly he, performed well.
He backed away from the challenge and took the easy way out.
Not what we are looking for IMO.

I explain it by pointing out Syracuse was more talented all four years Marrone was there (including a better QB) and that they finished below Rutgers in the conference 3 out of the 4 years. And the one year Rutgers completely fell apart (4-8), they still beat Syracuse. But, yes, you're right Schiano was only there 3 of the 4 years. The fourth year we made fun of him for losing to the second-coming of Vince Lombardi, himself ... Kyle Flood. The point is that none of these people are good coaches; they are failing upwards.

No.. I'm saying that my complaints has nothing to do with what he did from a business stand-point. I just don't care about it, it's his business and I understand he needed to do what he needed to do. I just don't want him as a football coach. He's not a good HC in my eyes, a lot of people see that. I'm one of them.

According to steaming I just saw during the Outback Bowl the Jets will interview Morrone on either Sunday or Monday. As for DeCosta. Everyone has a price. Give him 2 mil per season over market plus a house. Complete control etc. And you've got him.

I am a big fan of this. Marrone had a hell of a year with the Bills, plus his Jets connections, make this a great opportunity.

Also, since Marrone worked with Pettine, I like the idea of Marrone keeping most of the defensive assistants, particularly Dennis Thurman, who is a great coach and would hopefully keep Rex's scheme, which everyone loves and emulates

Time will tell if he is indeed named Jets HC. All your talk makes you sound like a butt hurt Bills fan. He is clearly not a terrible HC, he is well respected throughout the league and had the Bills going in the right direction.

None of these candidates are all that exciting some will work out others won't. One thing clear is the exciting Rex Ryan did not work out. He was certainly exciting that's for sure, problem is he wasn't a good HC and it's very debateable he was a defensive genius that many make him out to be.

All I know is that whomever is hired as HC/GM that fireidzikbillboard dude is not happy about it.

Who gives a shit? We were a terrible team. We should applaud him from winning against us with the roster we had?

How did he do against teams with winning records? How has he done against the Pats? Those are better indicators.

I'll help ya.. He went 4-10 against teams with winning records and 1-3 against the Pats.. That one win was a garbage win considering the Pats sat most their starters in preparation for the playoffs.

That's not a very good sign.

They have some disappointing players but then again they have some good pieces in Glenn and Wood. Our defensive line didn't do much against them.

And I wonder how many sacks they took because of bad QB play?

Not impressed with Marrone at all. Because the Bills haven't been in the playoffs forever, and because they usually have terrible records, they've had a ton of really high picks. Their defense is stacked, especially on the D-Line (probably the best in the league) and in the secondary. They got some talent on offense too, and with Orton, had at least a serviceable QB. With all that they had a 9-7 record and missed the playoffs, but even the record is a bit deceiving. The last win came in a game against the Pats which the Pats didn't need, having already won everything, so if the games counted, Bills would've most likely finished 8-8. Of those 8 wins, 6 came against non-playoff teams, and only 2 (against Packers and Lions) were against playoff level competition. With the kind of defense they have, that's not particularly impressive.

Bro.. You really have no idea.

The guy has NEVER been a winner. He hasn't won a thing, his resume doesn't look good, Bills players and Fans are happy he is out the door. You really should research some of this stuff. Hiring Maronne will only set our team back.
