I think it was a case of not knowing the future of the organization in regards to moving to Toronto or L.A. Kudos to his agent tho
Was that before or after we got crushed twice. You damn right were desperate. We're the Jets, were the scum of the fuckin league!
The fact you're on a jets board defending a team that was just abandoned by their coach isn't desperate?
How so? Buffalo just lost their HC, QB, first round draft pick, and 4 million. And their FO is going to change real soon.
I just read Mike Silver thinks Maccagnan is the leading candidate for GM, who does he have a long history with? Doug Marrone.
Ditto for Rick Mueller, the guy from Philly we will be interviewing for GM. Is it possible we will function as a cohesive unit?!?!?!
If they hire Rex, they've gotten better. I'm not a big fan of Marrone but considering who is available to us, he's a good option. Again it's just hard knowing we've downgraded for no reason.
Wow... what kind of head coach is gonna want to join an organization without a Qb or a first round pick? They'll get someone, of course, but it might not be an ideal candidate. Even the Jets are better off Qb-wise, which I thought would have been an impossible statement.
I'm sure Rex would go to Buffalo if it was his only option, but you have to admit that there are much better options for him out there. He needs to go to a team with an established Qb and/or offense with a defense that needs turning around. It will be much harder for him to succeed if he's given, yet again, a bottom-of-the-barrel offense/qb
I've never seen more support for a bad coach from any fanbase than this one for Rex Ryan. He coached 6 fuckin years and did the same shit wrong every game
Can you elaborate? I think more fans are reacting to the fact that the Bills wrecked us twice this year and went 9-7 with Kyle Orton and EJ Manuel. Some credit has to go to the Head coach.
He should have been the one we hired during the last GM search. I'd love to know why Philly released him.
