Ive seen some threads about individual players so i figured ill make a thread about the position as a whole.

Just like last year, the upcoming wide receiver class is very strong.

    Amari Cooper
    Kevin White
    Devante Parker
    Jaelen Strong
    Sammie Coates
    Rashad Greene
    Dorial Green Beckham
    Devin Funchess

..just to name a few. We need to get one of these guys this year. Who do u guys like coming out this year?

id be happy with one of jaelen strong or greene. Ive watched alot of greene at FSU and he doesnt have incredible size but runs great routes. jaelen i think will be a beast, from what Ive seen he looks like a great WR.

cooper and parker are better prospects but I was jameis round one ;)

Parker is playing on ESPN now, looks pretty impressive.

I take it your an FSU fan? If we did grab Jameis I think it'd be smart to grab Greene in the middle rounds. I believe that's where he's projected to go, correct?

I am a Louisville fan so I know I am possibly biased but my list is

Cooper and Parker look to be #1 WRs

White and Strong possible #1 options and not that far behind Parker and Cooper.

DGB and Greene both have traits that lead me to believe they can excel.

Funchess and Coates don't excite me much at all.

I would like to draft a wide receiver in this draft but taking one 6th overall means he has to be far and away the best prospect in the draft. Is that the case with Cooper?

He is certainly one of the best route runners I've ever seen coming out of college and he knows how to play defenses and to get open. But does he have the physicality necessary? Is he tall enough?

He's certainly no Megatron or Julio Jones, but can he be our Roddy White?

I'd love to grab Cooper but if there's not much of a difference between him and the other guys I'd rather wait and grab one in the 2nd round. I think he's the only one worthy of a top 7-8 pick but these other guys can ball too.

Everyone compares Cooper to Roddy White. Even if Cooper doesn't become AJ Green/Julio Jones, I'll take a Roddy White, lol.

Im not so much an FSU fan as I am a fan of jameis, Im canadian so I have a couple schools I root for... this years florida state team has been amazing to watch however, comeback after comeback, reminds me of the 2010 jets... just hope it dosent end the same way.... but yeah when I say jaelen and greene its assuming they were with the 2nd (jaelen) or 3rd (greene) pick. assuming we get a QB #1

I've seen Cooper compared to a young Reggie Wayne, which seems more accurate to me.

I think a lot of people are acting prematurely assuming the top 6 picks in late December, things are going to change big time before late April.

Devin Smith from OSU looks good adjusting to the deep ball. The guy stretches the field and has leaping ability in the red zone as he has 30 TDs over 4 years with inconsistent QB play.

I like Stefon Diggs. He is first round talent that can probably be had in Day 2 because his low production and injury riddled collegiate career.

Cooper looked good against my Bucks. Tough game. Awesome game. So happy my Buckeyes are going to the Championship game!!!!

After tonight though, I think Cooper will be an amazing WR in the NFL. Simms isn't a very good QB, to still have production like that despite the QB deficiency with that team, that is very impressive to me.

I've heard him mostly compared to Roddy White.

My guy Stefon Diggs is balling out right now. Legler82 knocked it out of the park. Had us picking him in my mock draft late for his return skills but more so because I had the chance to him play live twice and he was amazing both times. Easily the best WR after Cooper so far this year (White still injured) and the Vikings stole him in the 5th round.

Diggs has been impressive. Other than him and cooper, this rookie receiver class has been very disappointing
